Hotel Guest Reviews of the San Diego Marriott La Jolla

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was clean and updated. Friendly staff.
The union protesters with their speakerphone at 6am in the mornings yelling their chant. "Wake up Marriott...." I don't blame the hotel, i blame the union.

Clean, updated and friendly staff. Can't ask for anything more. The union protesters with their speakerphone at 6am in the mornings with their chant isn't the best thing. I don't blame the hotel, i blame the union.

The room was freshly renovated.
The hotel staff was more nonchalant than I expected. Union protesters woke us up at 7:30 am which was interesting but also annoying.

The hotel is a comfortable place to stay, but is located far from the parts of La Jolla that tourists anticipate.

New renovations underway.. No noise, but a few rough edges.. The new rooms are very nice... Fantastic sushi restartaunt right across the street...
I *hate* that hotels start charging for parking now. You priceline for X and you then have to pay another $20-$30 *a night* for parking (like anybody ever doesn't drive these days on a business trip).

Very nice rooms, only a few miles away from Qualcomm, good for business travel and reasonably priced. Except that if you win this hotel on priceline they'll also charge your extra ($20 a night) to park your car! Yes, work pays for it, but it feels like a bit of a bait and switch, but such is the modern world. It was quite at night, and newly completed renovations are very nice! ...read more

The staff was nice. The room was very clean and nicely appointed and quiet.
$20 to park. No free breakfast. Long way from ocean. 3 elevators, one not working. The 2 that worked were very slow. 2 times we had to wait 5 minutes for one to come. Outdoor pool secluded, not locked and unlit. Bathroom small, inconvenient.

This hotel is quite a distance from the resort area of La Jolla. The hotel was clean and nicely appointed. No breakfast provided. $20 to park. The 2 working elevators were very, very slow. Twice had to wait 5 minutes! The bathroom was very small and inconvenient. Construction is going on. This hotel would be best used for business stays or just overnight. Not a good resort type facility. ...read more

Nice, comfortable room. Great staff.
I guess the fact that whole ground floor was under construction might explain why I got such a great deal. Did not expect $20/nite for parking. Breakfast buffet was $20/ person that would have been included had I paid full price with the hotel.

We were there for a wedding, so didn't really experience anything. Appreciated the comfy beds, though would have liked queens instead of doubles.

No ice machines on any floors. Construction is taking way too long. Had to wait for valet attendant at arrival and departure. I cannot wait for this hotel to be done with construction.

The room was newly remodeled but when we walked in there was an old, beat up mini cooler sitting in the middle of the room because they had not installed the new ones.
We pulled up to what appeared to be a war zone. This hotel, which appeared beautiful on the web site was under construction. The lobby, restaurant, bar and everything was a temporary mess. Very disappointing. We should have asked for a refund.

Not a place to stay until construction is finished.
