Hotel Guest Reviews of the Marriott New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Good location and amazing price.
There was no fridge in the room. Good for the price and location but a little small.

After coming to the FQ over a dozen times, I finally tried the Marriott on Canal St, and we loved it. It has a great location, the check-in and valet was easy breezy, and our room was big and had amazing views of both the quarter and downtown. 10/10!
I can always find something to complain about, but really...I got nothing here. Well...maybe just one thing would have been "nice" - free internet access. I can't believe that's not a standard in the business hotel industry yet.

As I have before, I used Priceline to book a hotel in the FQ, and this time I got a steal on the Marriott on Canal. I knew in advance about the valet parking fee and the various good and bad reviews, so I really didn't have lofty expectations for my trip...I was just planning on being a normal hotel with a good room. Boy was I shocked - everything about this hotel exceeded my hopes. I was offered an upgraded room with awesome views, all the amenities were provided as detailed online, and the people in the hotel couldn't have been nicer. ...read more

Did not have complimentary coffee in the lobby. But they did in the room. I wake up earlier than my wife and like to let her sleep in. They had Starbucks but I left my wallet in the room. Very minor thing. Excellent hotel overall

Easy access to all areas of the city.

It was a very nice hotel to stay in right on the edge of the French Quarter.
The one thing I did not like about the hotel is that they wanted to charge $40 a day for parking.

Beware of the hotel elevators....you have to put in your hotel floor number on a keypad and then watch for what letter shows up which will designate which elevator you get in. You can easily go to a wrong floor if you are not careful.

Nice lobby. Nice Starbucks. Good location.
The girl at the counter was a drabbyI told her how excited I was and to please give me a decent room. She gave me one on the wall of the backside of 3 elevators: very very very loud. Also, ran my debit card for 150 bucks and took away spending more

Hotel was awesome. Great location, clean, great staff.
Parking was expensive - $35/night, but not too much more than prevailing rates.

1 or 2 blocks from Bourbon st. Right on Canal St. Excellent choice for a "regular" hotel in the French quarter.

The valet service is HORRIBLE. They bust my tire and the manager refused to give me the receipt. I had to request to speak to a manager. She was very unprofessional. The manager, Tyrone, was nice and helpful.

I would tell other travelers to say at another hotel!
