Overall, I was satisfied with my booking but it failed to be the usual ultra-affordable deal. Usually bags and the staff wasn't particularly helpful. They weren't rude just didn't help with a number of my requests, perhaps it was a rough shift.

Solo Traveler
The hotel is big, rooms are big for NYC , beds are very comfortable, very clean. The hotel is very clean and friendly. The lobby area is very busy due to the size of the hotel. There is a fed ex and Starbucks located just off the lobby and plenty of great places to eat in the neighborhood . The North End grill is across the street in Battery park its NYC new hip place to eat . If you are in NYC to see the World Trade Center area Statue of Liberty, Ellis island and shop at Century 21 this is the hotel for you. It doesn't get any better . This hotel is big enough for a family. With plenty of space in the rooms . Its a typical 4 Star old world NYC experience. Not a tiny boutique hotel . The only negative is there is no ipod doc . This hotel is very private once you arrive into your room its extreamly quiet and the views are spectacular. You are surrounded by great architecture or water no matter which way you are facing. You can see ships in the water passing by frequently .If your room is available they will check you in early. ...

Couple
Marriott Downtown was an excellent choice for us. We were not sure about staying in the financial district, however, it will now become the spot we look forward to staying in. Loved the views and the fact we were so close to Battery park. We are already planning our next stay and will absolutely choose this hotel again.
