Hotel Guest Reviews of the Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 2, 2013

Hotel right on Liberty International Airports property. Hotel is dated. Double rooms are small. The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. Not up to par for a Marriott.

Overall very nice property. But for the price, wi-fi in the room should be included.

I could only book a king or 2 double. We were 4 people so it was important to have 2 doubles. We rang the hotel, but they couldn't change the reservation. On arrival there were only kings left. It was sorted out but was an unnecessary stress.

I have seen little to no discount on pricing, in fact most options seem to be at the high end. I was scheduled to fly into Newark for a networking dinner. My flight was delayed until 10:30. Acting quickly, we rescheduled the dinner for NYC and I flew into
JFK - jetblue handled things directly. Dinner was great and I stayed at the Westin in Times Square for less than what I was still charged for the Marriott in Newark because I was outside the cancellation window. ...

Clean and convenient to the airport with shuttle service. The food is very expensive for the venue, but I did have a great tasting shrimp cocktail and Greek salad, and 1 small margarita for $40.00 with out tip. They have a nice breakfast buffet for $20.00, beverages are not included. This hotel was very accommodating for my extension. I arrived at 8:30 pm, and my plane did not leave until 7:30 pm the next day. They extended my stay till 2:00 with a payment option for 5:00 pm which they supposedly waived. I'll have to see my bill. ;) ...

Hotel was good. I arrived somewhat earlier and the person at the counter was very nice and accommodated a room for me right away. She was very friendly and highlighted where I could go for a bite before or after lunch. Overall, the staff was very nice I just encountered one staff member where I asked for directions on how to go to NY for business meetings and she was very impatient as the hotel does not provide transportation tips. Since I spoke with the front desk earlier, I asked for the same person who asked to come down and asked for this information but she already left. She was not helpful and pretty much did not explain other than handing me out a map and told me to read it as this is what she could do for me. I found the driver of the shuttle bus much more helpful and explained me how I should find the right transportation and where to go.... ...
