Hotel Guest Reviews of the Memphis Marriott

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nice rooms. Extra charge for internet and if you wanted a fridge in the room. Front desk staff very friendly. Overall a nice place.
Extra charge if you wanted fridge in room and extra charge for internet. Breakfast buffet was OK but expected better for the price. Pretty basic.

Front desk staff. Shuttle drivers were very helpful.
No help on local restaurants. Girl at concierge station was useless. I had to show her where her cards for restaurants were. No steam or sauna room. Confusion about whether this was Marriott East or not.

This hotel was not a three star hotel. No sauna or steam room. Rooms were average. Other than front desk staff (who were overworked)and shuttle driver,no one was helpful. Food options were substandard. This hotel is NOT up to Marriott's standards.

The hotel was nice. But the staff were snobbish.
Very difficult to find. Room was noisy. Cable choices poor. No free wi fi in the room.

Manager was very helpful. She seemed genuinely interestsed in helping.
Part of town was not too nice. Heavy fencing and gates surrounding the hotel indicated there might be trouble.

The bed was wonderful! Super soft mattress and squishy pillows. Fantastic.
Upon arrival, a horrible clanging, scraping, groaning noise was coming from the vent. We turned the a/c off immediately in hopes of stopping the noise. Despite our efforts, the noises from the roof (we were on the top floor) kept us up almost all night.

No microwave or mini fridge. For being ranked the #2 hotel in Memphis, we assumed these would be included in the room.

Hotel staff was wonderful.
My key card to the room did not work repeatedly. I had to get 4 replacement cards.

Hotel is great. The neighborhood is a little shady, but what part of Memphis isn't shady. It was a great spot for our needs (being halfway from downtown and a wedding in Collierville). It's about a 40-45 dollar taxi cab fair from Beale Street.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, crisp linens, very helpful, pleasant staff
not too many restaurants in the area.

This hotel has beautiful public areas, is clean, well-maintained, and has a staff that is helpful and pleasant. There are not many restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was awesome, I rented a car and drove to Beale Street about 10 times. It was a 15 minutes drive. Very convenient. I also drove to Mississippi to the Casino. Which was a 25 or 30 minutes drive. Very convenient. The hotel was perfect in every way.

Location is 15 minutes from Beale, 30 minutes from Mississippi. IHOP across the street, taco bell. Rent a car, I drove everyday including going to Mississippi and going to Beale street about 10 times over 3 days and only spent $30 dollars on gas.

Room was clean and front desk was helpful.
Requested a refrigerator 2 days before Arrival. Had to call front desk and go to front desk 6 hrs later and ask again before I finally got one.

Everything was good except that they didn't offer free Wi-Fi and that breakfast was not included with the stay. They had a restaurant and the prices were ridiculous. I have never stayed anywhere where breakfast wasn't included and I had to pay to have Internet access. I highly doubt that will ever stay in a Marriott hotel again.
