Hotel Guest Reviews of the Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Culpeper

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was excellent in every way. The one bedroom was small, but clean and comfortable.
The breakfast could have been better

Nice place to stay. We went to a wedding nearby and this was a good location. There were nice places to eat nearby.

Price.
Too much noise in the hallway
at 5:30am, woke me up.

Nice, clean, convenient but noisy hallways.

Close to area attractions, affordable, acceptable.
Non descript breakfast offerings, ice makers not working on any floors.

This was no 5 star hotel, and the rooms are a bit small. I had some concerns after reading some of the reviews regarding the cleanliness, but found everything acceptable (the tub had some mold in the corners but I see that at "better" hotels) All in all, a very acceptable and affordable accommodation.

Comfortable beds, bright room.
when heater was turned on it produced strong burning smell and triggered fire alarm

The overall appearance of the room was adequate but not particularly clean. Bed sheets/blankets had holes and hair was found in bathroom. Slow drain of water from bathtub. Good deal for the price, but would not have wanted to pay more than $60 to 65 per night. Coffee machine in lobby partially non-functional. Continental breakfast was minimal.

Nice quiet area of the main road.
Free Breakfast was a joke! Non existent.

Room was very tiny. Walls and floors must be paper thin. I could hear the kids running in the room above me all night. Was advertised with a coffee maker in the room...that's a lie. Front desk said only Suites have them...showed them my receipt from Priceline that said coffeemaker included....they just said sorry and shrugged it off....offered me coffee from the one used for breakfast...it taste like it had been there since the morning before horrible and old tasting. Came down in the morning for breakfast apple juice was out so I got OJ from this machine they have...got back to the room and took a sip, it was orange flavored water ran out of the OJ concentrate stuff. Breakfast is a joke here if you like stale bread, and old coffee and orange water....this is your place then. Also, maintenance here is lacking door scanners to get in broke so we had to walk to the other side of the hotel, they put a sign on the door saying it's broke instead of fixing it...sign looks like it's been there for years. Room was very small. Get a suite if you want a small refrigerator and any room. I thought all Microtels had fridges in them...even if they were small tabletop ones. Also, the TV was a 1990 model big and bulky and outdated...even dump hotels have upgraded to flat screens and it sat way up high on a closet...hard to see unless you break your neck. ...read more

Reasonable price, clean, continental breakfast, and comfortable bed.
Small room, minimal closet space, TV too high, had to look up to watch.

You get what you pay for. Clean and a place to sleep. Decent bathroom.

Clean room, and friendly staff.
Breakfast food was stale, Some of the machines did not work.

Inexpensive in relative terms and clean.

Very clean, and new.
Breakfast was very limited, still OK though.

This was a GREAT one star hotel. The only negatives that I can say is that the room was a little small and the breakfast was only OK. Still everything was new, clean, and we had no problems. Much better than several other 2 and 3 star places that I have stayed!
