Hotel Guest Reviews of the Microtel Inn By Wyndham Cottondale/Tuscaloosa
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. I have been staying in a lot of hotels in this price range recently as I have started my own company and am having to pay for my own business trips. This was the worst I have stayed in. The room was extremely small and my husband and I were constantly in each others way trying to get ready in the morning. The room appeared clean at first, although some of the finishings in the bathroom construction made it seem dirtier than I think it was. However the tub did not drain well (which is disgusting to me in the first place) and once it did there was a lot of hair in the tub which I tried not to think about, but clearly was not mine. There was a stain on the white comforter. The only good thing I could say about this place was that the bed was comfortable. ...

It is a little dinky and dark. Room is not that clean. Would not recommend it.

I have never stayed at Microtel. I was very surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was.

This hotel was okay. It was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. The rooms were pretty standard. Nothing special, but okay if you just need somewhere inexpensive to stay. The hotel advertised that it was pet friendly, but did not say that it was going to charge you an additional fee to keep your pet there once you checked in, so be aware there is an additional pet fee on top of the booking fee. They had breakfast, but it was really subpar. There were very few choices, and everything they did have was running out. They had waffles but no syrup. Cereal, but no milk. There's no elevator in the hotel, so you have to take the stairs to get to the upper floor rooms. The hotel is old and dingy - definitely nothing to write home about, but if you just need somewhere inexpensive to stay, this will fit the bill. ...
