Hotel Guest Reviews of the Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Gardendale
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 6, 2013

Our room was exceptionally clean, and the front desk staff employee that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the small breakfast area. The location was full of workers that were staying at the hotel, and the breakfast area was not easily accessible while they were dining. Not the hotel's fault though! We have never stayed at a Microtel before, but will stay again when we are traveling in the future. ...

We were denied that room and after some hasling and desk clerk phone calls to management etc we were given a handicap room. If Priceline would have asked about pets in their reservation form, we could have forseen this problem. This was not a good experience.

This hotel is very dated with no flat screen tv's and worn carpet. It has both smoking and nonsmoking rooms. After booking through Priceline, the hotel only had a smoking queen bedroom. Priceline showed "dog friendly". I have a yorkie when we got there to switch to a nonsmoking two bed room cost me $10 extra. Then they wanted an extra $25 for my pet. I will not stay here again.

The room could have been cleaner. The clerk was rude because of a mix up in booking

Most of the staff was friendly, for the most part. Want ever stay there again. As a whole it didn't seem clean. Not a good experience at all.

My grandson (age 17 mos) got sick at 4:30 a.m and thru up on the bed. I tried for at least 15 minutes to call the front desk to get clean bed linens. I finally got dressed and went down to find two people sitting at a table in the dining area who told me I had 15 minutes.(15 minutes for what I don't know). I explained to them I only needed clean sheets. They preceeded to tell me "he" was in the back but no one offered to get "him" or get me any clean sheets. After several minutes a young man came out from the back and I explained to him that I had tried to call several times but no one answered the phone. He was polite and got me the sheets, however I explained that I needed everything, including mattress cover and blanket or comforter. He went back and brought me a mattress cover and I ask again for a blanket or comforter, he told me that they were sold out of blankets for the night and house keeping would bring me one at 9 in the morning. I ask what I was suppose to do with the soiled linens and he again said that house keeping would get them at 9 in the morning. He finally brought me a plastic bag for the soiled linens and again told me that house keeping would pick it up at 9 in the morning. I was not happy with the whole situation and I do not understand how a motel can be sold out of blankets and comforters. Late the next afternoon when we got back to the room we still had no comforter on the bed. Had to go back down and ask again for one. Althouth the staff was very polite I feel this was unacceptable ...
