Hotel Guest Reviews of the Montbleu Resort Casino & Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Greatly appreciated an upgraded room with jacuzzi. Very friendly staff in all parts of the hotel. Enjoyed the indoor heated swimming. Breakfasts and dinners at the hotel were very nice.
Some areas of the casino were not smoke free.

Free parking; heated indoor swimming pool; Dinning food specials.

The location
The room was not as expected. It was out dated and it was supppsed to have a nice view... our view consisted of the top of the building in the back of the casino. . And dead trees..

The location and value of the Montbleu are second to none. The jacuzzi in the room is a nice touch too.

Location, location, location.
Smokey casino and front reception area.

Great staff and wonderful location. Casino was smallish, but restaurants were very good. Room was nice, had the one with the hot tub. It was a bit dirty and had stuff floating in it the first time we used it. Bed was comfortable.

We enjoyed the location, the room having it's own Jacuzzi tub, and the hotel pool & spa. The casino had a decent amount of games and acceptable floor staff. There is a coffee shop right inside the lobby brewing Starbucks coffee. The Happy Hour drinks and
We did not like that the room did not provide a coffee maker. The TVs in the rooms are outdated tube TVs. Also, the staff at the hotel restaurant were very slow, blaming multiple errors and looong long waits in a very empty café on a shift change. The ho

Overall this hotel can be a decent deal if you are a rewards member. It gives you access to cheaper meals at their café, and decent perks and comps. The last two stays were fairly un-crowded and we had our pick of rooms. The indoor heated pool, waterfall, and spa are the absolute highlight of this hotel. They are fantastic, family friendly, but cozy enough for couples warming up after a day out in the snow. We like to gamble elsewhere due to the limited tables and low number of slot machines, but if it's a really busy weekend in town, then we play at the Montblu because no one is there. If we don't use rewards points for deals at the café we absolutely eat somewhere else. The rooms themselves are not too old or outdated, but they are not brand new either. One bed we stay in was great, another was pretty past it's prime. It's kind of a crap shoot. You just have to throw the dice and see how they land - good luck! ...read more

The hotel is perfectly situated. Very close to Heavenly Village. After checking in there was no need to drive anywhere.
Very poor air circulation in the hotel. Our room and the hallways smelled like a giant ash tray.

It did not smell like smoke. The casino floor was clean as was our room.
Make a reservation for the steak house or you may not get in. we went to 19th Floor Steak House down the street and it was well worth the walk in the snow.

I really liked the hotel. Staff was friendly and had a really good atmosphere.

Our whole floor smelled like pot from the people in the room next to us and nothing was done about it.

I will never stay at this hotel again. Check in was fast and painless but that was about the only portion of this trip that went smoothly. The second we stepped off the elevator on the 8th floor to he's to our suite we knew this trip was going to be a disappointment. Our ENTIRE floor wreaked of pot! Luckily I wasn't traveling with any children or I would have lost it right then and there. We walked down the hallway to our room opened the door and... Ew. The roomSmelled of weed too. Come to find out it was our conjoining neighbors smoking so the smell was coming under the door. The bath tub ( jacuzzi tub, I'm assuming we paid more for a room with one..) looked like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. There was even black mold around the grout. Ew! Not town took the shower was also in the tub when the photos online clearly show a separate shower aside from the tub. When I finally got the courage to take a shower I had my options of either being scalded or showered in ice water , there was no inbetween. The couch in our room had some very obvious stains on It as well as the velvet headboard. I didn't want to touch anything in the room that's how dingy and dirty it was. I will never stay here again! ...read more

The location.
The staff put us in a sub par room when other rooms were available. We were forced to move due to a "unfixable" problem in our room and we were placed in a room much more recently remodeled than the one we left, which is somewhat aggravating as it was obv

Loved the jacuzzi spa in the room and large bathroom space. Also loved the proximity to Heavenly Village.
Housekeeping repeatedly came knocking on our door to see if we had left yet, even with the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door and after us telling them we weren't checking out yet. They were still very friendly and apologized, but they woke us up.

Had a great night here. Have already recommended this hotel to others and will probably stay there again very soon. Beautiful lake, mountain views from the room. And the jacuzzi tub in there was an added bonus!!
