Motel 6 Atlanta Downtown

The front desk agent, Ben, was very kind and helpful. Also, the free parking was great. We used the parking deck instead of leaving our car out in the open.

Rooms were very basic, but there was a refrigerator and microwave. The wi-fi was nice touch. Did not try the TV as we were busy with events we were there to attend. Towels were very small. They had soap, but no shampoo or lotion. Coffee was adequate. Ice only on first floor (at least only one I could find). Check-in people were magnificant and friendly!!

The location of this hotel is good. It's just in the downtown. You can visit CNN, Coca Cola or Olympic park within walking distance.

The hotel was clean and convenient with friendly staff. The area is within walking distance to most downtown attractions but in a slightly run down corner. My only major issue was concerning the pet policy. As a dog owner it is very important for me to find a place that accepts dogs and makes it easy to care for them. When booking I called and asked about the policy (I have a german shepherd and a bull terrier) to ensure the size and breeds would be OK. I was assured that they were fine and it would cause no issues. Unfortunately when I got to the hotel j was told that the policy was one dog and that it's weight must be under 30lbs. After a bit of back and forth about this the front desk clerk allowed my dogs and me to stay. I was however told daily how this was against policy. The other aspect for my dogs was that there was no close grass or open space to walk them - I ended up having to run across a busy street to use the median...not the best or safest solution. ...read more

Hotel was quiet even though attending a convention which normally would bring louder attendees. Close to main convention hotel, made it so that I wasn't obligated to rent a car (walking distance). Staff was friendly and kind, and check in was fast.

For our trip to see our daughter receive her Master's Degree, I researched many hotels around the area where the graduation was held. This hotel offered the best value for my money, especially since retirement limits my income. Also, the free parking definitely helped as other hotels charge up to $28.00 for self parking. The staff was extremely helpful and polite answering all my questions.My wife and throughly enjoyed our trip and the hotel experience added to it. Hotel was RIGHT on the highway and the internet wasn't great. Even given those two things, I would return to this hotel because it was a good value and the staff were very friendly and the parking was free.
