The staff was pleasant, the location was idea, and the coffee was awesome.
the rooms seriously need to be recarpeted and updated. The smell of mold was overpowering and I thought about sleeping in my car instead.

I would defineitly not choose to stay here again unless they update the rooms to help remove the mildewed/mold smell.

It was on the freeway.
What we didnt know is that we cannot watch any tv. Not even local channels. Anything u want to see u have to pay a min of 5 dollars. The max is 20 dollars!? What is that about. The shower had a spot that looked that it would break if u stepped on it. The

Overral the stay was cheap with was good, the location was good but map quest messed up so u may want to have the number to hotel handy to call them if u cant find them.

The access
The room was very poor.

The room we had was supposed to have been remodeled and there were mold spots around the ceiling especially in the bathroom. The tub had been repaired very badly. There was no refrigerator and no microwave as there was supposed to be when we booked the room. The front office told us they would have to move us to a non-remodeled room, which was scary after all ready seeing our room if we wanted to refrigerator and microwave. They eventually agreed to give us a coffee pot except that we had to get own own coffee. Very poor quality and was not like we had contracted to have. I was told this was an old Red Roof Inn. It should be demolished. ...read more

It was convenient to the urban center of Brownsville.
The room stank of mold and mildew, and the air-conditioner was loud.

The hotel was formerly a Red Rood Inn, which if I'd known before purchasing, would have chosen a different property. The room stank and needs a complete rehab to remove the mold that had simply been painted over. I will not stay at this property again.
