Hotel Guest Reviews of the Norfolk Marriott Chesapeake
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 26, 2013

Although the hotel was rated 31/2 stars, I would rate it 5 stars for our purposes! It was very clean (bathrooms are what I look at in addition to the room). I will stay there again and again when necessary.

Three problems. One: multiple biker gangs staying in hotel, being obnoxiously loud at 3am. Two: One of the two elevators was out of service leading to excrutiatingly painful waits to go up and down. (I presume the biker gangs were waiting by the elevator, hence the volume showing frustration, and the duration of the loudness. Three: Room service was late. (If it is late it is free). I received a call from hotel staff informing me that it was late because everyone ordered breakfast at the same time,(probably the biker gangs nursing hangovers) and offering me free buffet instead. I declined due to our strict timeline and toddler's requirements. When the janitor (not a room service staff-person) arrived, she handed me the bill which was more $20 more than what we had ordered, and threw some attitude when I cited the late policy. ...

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, quiet rooms, and good central location to anywhere in Tidewater area.

i would never stay in a Marriott again because of my experience. We called they told us that they took pets with a $100.00 non refundable deposit. Only to drive 3 hours for them to tell us they did not take pets. Refused to help in anyway. We went and stayed at the Aloft were they excepted our pet gladly. The 2 rooms at the Marriott smelled like the housekeeping staff had just used the bath room before we got there it smelled really bad. Again no help from the staff (we had to spray perfume just to be able to go in the room). This hotel is not rated the way it should be it is very used up. ...

I would highly recommend this hotel to family, friends, and business associates. The staff was extremely helpful and always smiling and ready to help. The occasion didn't allow much time at the hotel, but I would come back for a relaxing vacation soon. I love Chesapeake Virginia.
