Oak Tree Inn Elko

This hotel was quite large with long narrow hallways. It was very plain and not comfortable. There was not a restaurant or any common areas at all. The hot tub was broken and was right in the middle of the gym anyway, so would not have been comfortable to sit in anyhow. The front desk clerk was not friendly and did not tell us anything about the hotel features and I had to pay $15 extra to get a room with two beds. The entire hotel smelled bad and the rooms were not decorated well. There was a microwave & fridge in the room, so that was nice, but I would not stay here again. The hotel isn't poor quality, but it was full of highway workers. So the environment wasn't great for kids. The sink was broken when we got there. The pillows were terrible. It served its purpose of some sleep along the our travel route, but for more than one night, no thank you.

Charged extra for second bed in room.

Rooms were clean and for the price they were ok, no computer area, no common area, no breakfast, etc., front desk person was very rude and accused us that we should have been there last week, before even greeting us and just asking our name.

Pleasant, quiet, near freeway exit and stores.

We thought it was a nice hotel but the beds were just full size instead of the queen size we usually get. The room was reasonably clean and neat. If you don't need to share a bed it would be OK. We travel with a challenged adult who took the 2nd bed.

Upon check-in I was informed of an additional $15.00 charge since they claimed they didn't know there would be 2 people staying there. I felt as though I got conned by these crooks. Avoid this place if possible.
