Ocean Inn

The hotel is very nicely done and is a nice throwback. If you are expecting a great lobby with AC everywhere, forget it. However, the manager was great and helped all of the guests with any issue that came up. He was accommodating, nice, and helpful to a fault. The hotel provides you with beach towels, an outdoor shower, and beach chairs. The walk to the beach is just a block and you are right on the North Hollywood boardwalk and beach. The downtown area is a mile walk or bike away with plenty of bars and restaurants. The outdoor courtyard is cozy, but very nicely done with a relaxed character and lots of seating. Even though you are a block off the highway it's still a nice place to relax. There is a large hammock, a big dinner table, and 3 or 4 other seating areas. The room is comfortable with a full kitchenette, small dining room table, and a comfortable bathroom. While not a 4-star room it is comfortable and clean. Very quiet down this end of broad walk

I really like this hotel. IT's off the beaten track, right on the beach. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Yes, the bathrooms are small, but some of the rooms are nice and big. Others, small, but charming. All have microwaves and refrigerators. The rooms are spotless.

This place reminds me of Key West 30 years ago. It's quiet, laid back, friendly and small.
