Hotel Guest Reviews of the Old Town Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location. Although not in a beautiful neighborhood, it is walking distance to Old Town, where there is a large selection of restaurants as well as many shops. It is also walking distance to both the train and trolley stops. Sparkling clean & attrac
No--couldn't have been better!

The Old Town Inn is so conveniently located that we wished we'd taken the train down from L.A. rather than having driven. It's walking distance (maybe 2 long blocks) from an Amtrak stop. In the same area are trolleys that will take you into downtown San Diego. Finally, the train and trolley station are across the street from Old Town San Diego, a place that offers plentiful dining and shopping. The motel itself was sparkling clean, attractive, and thoroughly pleasant while not being overpriced. Tip: their lowest priced rooms are in the bungalows--ask for them if price is a consideration for you. They were also most accommodating about allowing us to stay past checkout time because we were going to an opera matinee that didn't start until 2 p.m. ...read more

We always stay here because of the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast, and the location.
NO

I could have gotten a better deal by calling the hotel directly. Priceline was not a bargain.

Great location for visiting MCRD. Staff was very helpful and went a little out of the way to help with picture taking, and other requests.
Nothing

Good selection for continental breakfast: waffles, fruit, cereal, pastries, and beverages. Beds were very comfortable and well kept. Very clean and homey. Outdoor pool we did not use due to the weather but was very clean looked inviting. Interestingly, the prices of the vending machine snacks and sodas was very reasonable and a lot less than I have seen. Overall, the Old Town Inn exceeded my expectations and made us feel right at home. We had several family members coming in at different times and while the Inn did not have a shuttle of their own, they recommended a very good company who catered to our every need. ...read more

It was well located, the "continental breakfast" was first rate.
Nothing comes to mind.

The room was clean and nicely appointed, the elevators worked and there was sufficient parking. The continental breakfast was terrific. The staff was very friendly and informative.

A nice little hotel near the rental car agencies and the airport (an easy return for my 6am flight). Very quiet despite the airport. I had a very nice, very helpful person at the front desk who answered my questions cheerfully and well. The room was surprisingly cozy and spacious. A good deal.

Close to trolley station, clean and comfortable bed.
Located in industrial area, but I knew that.

For my purpose of attending the ESRI conference downtown everyday, it worked out well. Close to transportation, clean and a comfy bed. Plus a free lite breakfast everyday. A clean pool area, and the grounds are landscaped beautifully and well maintained.
