Hotel Guest Reviews of the Omni Dallas Park West
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 21, 2013

We arrived well before the check-in time, but the friendly staff said our room was ready, so we were able to check in. In the room, we found a house-cleaning cart, and the room smelled of cigarette smoke - this is a non-smoking hotel. We went back to the reception desk, and the staff was very apologetic, and said they would send someone to check into it. They immediately assigned us another room, which was clean, with no smoke smell. The beds were comfortable, though the beddings looked a bit worn. Bathroom was average size, but also very clean (I'm big on the clean factor). We went down to the restaurant to have a late lunch, and waited several minutes, while no one showed up to seat us. We finally looked into the kitchen area, and found the hostess. She told us, very politely and apologetically, that the restaurant closed at 2pm, and that we could eat at the lounge. (Suggestion to the hotel: put a sign in front of the hostess station, notifying guests of the restaurant's hours, and that food is available in the lounge. This will save guests the time of tracking down someone, just to find out the restaurant is closed.) In the lounge, we ordered our food, then waited 25 minutes to receive it. The bartender checked on our order, then came back with the restaurant manager (who happened to be the previously mentioned hostess), who apologized again for the delay in the food, and offered us an appetizer (which we declined). The food was good, but certainly did not to appear to have taken 25 minutes to make, especially when the lounge was nearly empty. The rest of our 1-night stay went smoothly, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious. The buffet had organic foods, some gourmet foods I had not seen in other hotel restaurants, and most importantly, a really good cup of coffee. However, considering this was my first stay at an Omni hotel, the first hour of our visit left a less-than stellar impression on me. ...

Quick drive from Irving Convention Center Not a far drive from Dallas proper. Great location, great staff, quiet area. Will definitely consider for future trips to Dallas.

Hotel staff was excellent! We went to a Texas Rangers game and I forgot to get driving directions from the ballpark back to the hotel. We asked at the front desk if they knew the best way to get back and they had these handy little cards that had directions to and from the ballpark so that was a big help. The rooms were nice but nothing over the top. The pool is an outdoor heated pool but at 9am in early May the water is just not warm enough. The kids played in the water for about 30 minutes before they couldn't take it any longer ...

I would only stay in this hotel for a night. The comfort of the room and its amenities are not worth the nice bar and restaurant. We did not like our room or the bed, pillows, and towels. Which is the most important part of the Hotel. While all other parts of the Hotel were extremely nice including the staff they obviously have not put any money into their rooms.

We were in town for a wedding, and I had been put in charge of finding a hotel for our family. I booked 8 rooms at the Omni, and each of the 8 families were thrilled with this hotel. Everyone had a great experience!
