Hotel Guest Reviews of the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

My room was the size of a postage stamp and right next to the elevator, but was very quiet. Linens are superb and overall a great value for the price. The staff at the Omni treat you like royalty whether you arrive in shorts and flip-flops or a tux. This was a great deal for a spur-of-the-moment trip to New Orleans and I highly recommend the hotel.

The room is a bit on the small side but the staff was very friendly, the lobby was very nice to just sit and read the paper and the restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner.

The price of the hotel was fabulous for a 4-star hotel experience... I was thrilled with the location and the look and feel of the hotel... did I mention LOCATION? RIGHT in the French Quarter... across the street from the historic Louisiana State Supreme Court Bldg., 2 blks from Bourbon St. one direction, 2 blks from Jackson Square the other, steeped in the rich history of New Orleans! The only little fly in the proverbial ointment, some travellers might want to know... when I checked in the front desk, clerk said she only wanted my card for incidentals and if I used nothing or there were no more charges the card would not be charged-- Not True. The next day a 52.00 charge showed up, in addition to my nightly 38.00 for parking in the hotel lt. When questioned, they said, oh, that clerk should have told you, there is a "hold amount" we go ahead and charge on your card, then we'll credit back what you don't use. One of those things which would have been Nice To Know...but still, all in all a WONderful experience! I recommend the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel to anyone travelling to New Orleans for the complete NOLA experience!!! ...

The rooftop pool and bar are a nice added touch. However needs new beds. Mine bed was quite old, when you sit down, it lowers all the way down to the floor. Its not handicap friendly, as soon as you walk in you have to go up ten steps just to check in and the elevators. But have to say the whole entire staff was excellent!
