Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Opelika

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Most Traveloge's that I stay on are excellent (Grant, NM)
Needs refurbishing badly, TV on old system - most Traveloges have gone to DIRECTV.

My Wife and I were forced to stay in Opelika because of the College game in Auburn - a rivalry game that took up all the Hotels/Motels in the area. I have used extensively Travelodge (Once every 3 Mo) in Grants NM for the last three years. I was happy to make the reservation but disappointed and embarrassed when my Wife saw the shady accommodations.

The staff was friendly.
Microwave was nasty. Bed was hard. Bathroom was tiny.

The hotel was very old and unkept. There was a frig and microwave which were both nasty. The bed was hard and the room smelled bad.

Friendly staff. Very helpful.
Dirty floors. I wore socks the entire time.

We overall felt okay about the hotel, but the carpets desperately need shampooing. I wore socks the entire time I was there. The hotel staff was great and as accommodating as they could be. Not the most updated amenities, but the fridge and microwave was nice. Basic necessity hotel.

Cleanliness was fair.
Uneven concrete floors/plumbed backwards - hot is cold & cold is hot & they know it!

It was cleaner than I expected. Did not have a hair dryer or iron, although if I had asked for these items they may have been offered.

It was cheap.
Small room, a bit dirty, uncomfortable bed.

It was fine for a 1 night stay, and the price was pretty good. But I wouldn't recommend it for more than that.

The hotel was ok for a one night stay. They could improve on the continental breakfast.

The bed was comfortable.
Drab, dreary, nearly deserted, felt like a ghost motel from the Old West!

When the highlight of your stay is a comfortable bed and close proximity to Waffle House you’re stretching for something positive to say! The rooms were depressingly unappealing though I’d have to say it was clean. Location to Auburn University, our reason for the stay is very poor, 8 to 10 miles from the football stadium.

The bed was very comfortable.
The room was not clean, bugs were present, the wireless internet did not work.

This was a terrible hotel. I am glad I only stayed one night. It was old, with odors, no hot water, bugs, and just unattractive. But the bed was comfortable.

was overall acceptable for sleeping in after attending the Auburn football game.
Was not as clean as I would like, but for the price was not expecting the best quality.

This hotel is acceptable for overnights if you are not expecting top notch hotel. Would stay there again for overnights after ball games.
