Hotel Guest Reviews of the Orlando-Days Inn At Maingate Of Universal
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 28, 2013

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE! For $xx a night I expected alot more. I stayed at the Marriott just down the road on a previous trip for the same cost. What a difference. I couldn't stay there this trip because everything was already booked. I thought that this place couldn't be too bad given its close proximity to Universal Studios. Was I mistaken! This place was a step up from a rent by the hour establishment. The rooms were dated and had a musty, mildew smell. The shower is the perfect height for someone 4 foot tall. I feel I was robbed paying this much money for one night. If you see an offer for this place, turn and run! You would be better off sleeping in your car for the night. ...

The hotel was "just bad" not one good thing to say. I will never use priceline again. I suggest you take that hotel off your site

Priceline said there was a free continental bfst.NO. Room was nasty. Safety was terrible. Awful staff. Everything in spanish and I speak English. Don't stay here

This hotel is a good value for the price. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a "nice" place to stay. It did the job though.

This hotel is by far the worst experience I have ever had, when they say 1 star, they really do mean 1 star! I figured since it's in a pretty good area and surrounded by other decent big name hotels it shouldn't be that bad... boy was I wrong. The room smelled of mildew and there were very visible signs of water damage on the walls, ceiling and floor, the shower curtain rod was literally falling out of the wall and the door to our room didn't even fit the frame properly and you could see light coming through a sizable gap between the top of our door and the frame. It's a good thing we only only needed to crash for a few hours and we had only booked for the one day; I fear we may have been robbed by whatever 6 legged roommates were invariably in there with us. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs. We wound up staying at the Radisson on International just off Sandlake for only $10 more than we had paid for this room and it was a much, much nicer experience. ...

Be aware that you get what you pay for. This hotel is cheap and close to Universal Orlando, but it is worn out and in dire need of a makeover.
