Business Traveler
Good lake view but quite a way out from Kyoto. No Wi-Fi in rooms and bathrooms rather basic. The Chinese restaurant was only fair quality and very expensive for what you got staff though did their best to help but English was not easily understood or spoken.

Solo Traveler
Loved it! Amazing view and staff. They go out of their way to make you happy. Everyone's smiling. Best kept secret for people traveling to Kyoto.

Family Traveling with Teens
It was nice to visit the bigger city and come back to a smaller town to sleep. The room was much larger than expected, with pleasant extras like robes, slippers and bath needs.
A regular shuttle takes you to and from the train station, but a closer staion is walking distance and gives you a chance to see some neighborhoods off the main drags.

The staff was awesome! Be aware that at breakfast you might have a wait. Great hotel, wish we could have stayed longer.

Couple
The hotel is very nice and located beautifully for views, but its access is limited by the location quite a distance from the train station. Also, the carpeting throughout the hotel needs to be replaced; it looks extremely worn.
