Location
Rooms are too small. Noisy air con. Slightly trashy. No fridge.

The rooms are not what you think. Apparently we were upgraded to a larger room on check-in, but this has to be smaller than what you would put your dog to sleep in. You can kiss the standard queen size bed goodbye and say hello to a full/double. On the plus side you're sure to get cozy with your other half. You will literally have to stand on the bed to pass anyone else in the room. Individual air-conditioning units that sit less than a foot from the side of the bed which are extremely noisy and poorly control room temp. Also, be prepared to have a view of a brick wall. However, location location location, so I won't labor the issues anymore. Hotel is superbly placed right into times square and also for the wine bars, Broadway etc. Hotel dining - never even considered it, as it is over priced (don't fall for the room delivery charges). And the internet free in the foyer but $17 per day in the room. Go figure. The lobby is funky with house music but smells (and the rest of the hotel for that matter) of old classy lady from the 40's who fell into a pile of flowers while smoking a bucket load of cigarettes. Customer service was nice at desk. Doorman doesn't do much other than watch the traffic outside. Always seems to be police cars out front, makes me feel safe somewhat, or something going down. We asked for a late check-out the night before but told we had to call at 8 am to check - so much for the sleep in hey. We were denied in the end.

The location was fantastic and I liked the setup of the hotel.
The rooms were small, but I expected this.

The lobby.
Room - not king, no room...no conveniences. No mini-bar, and no movies in demand.

Terrible unless traveling alone on business.

Housekeeping was good.
Room too small / Should not be 3 star / Unable to accommodate 4 adults.

Rooms are too small, wanted to charge to accommodate 4 adults in a room with 2 beds. not willing to give available room - only willing to provide it for a fee. Unacceptable! Never had that experience before. Felt like they were trying to nickle and dime the customer for every little thing. The place was too dark as well, felt a little unsafe and was like a club - did not like that. ...read more

Great location and very helpful hotel staff.
The initial room was very small.

The hotel is in a great location (just 1 block away from Times Square). The room assigned at check-in was very small (about 110 sqft) and not really suitable to accommodate 2 persons. However after asking the reception they gave us an upgrade to a bigger room at no extra charge the following night.

You could not beat the location for the price I got on Priceline.
The room was very small, and the shower went cold both times after 2-3 minutes.

Right in the heart of the action restaurant row and time square.
They represented to me that valet was a service but then proceeded to charge me $59 for 1 day! There's a public parking garage RIGHT NEXT door.

It's a very hip, metro place! It's right in the heart of everything. Corner of Restaurant Row & Time Square. Rooms are small but quaint. Door staff great...front desk staff OK not great. Overall I would go back...just wouldn't valet now that I know there's a public parking garage right next door.

Location was great for seeing a Broadway show.
Room was tiny. Just big enough for the full size mattress.

The room would have been great if there was 3 more feet in each direction. It was very small for 2 people over 6' tall. I never expected we would get a room with anything smaller than a queen sized bed. I understand it's an old hotel and can appreciate that but that room should be reserved for solo travelers.
