Hotel Guest Reviews of the Park Tahoe Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location is absolutely ideal--lake and skiing mere steps away as are shopping and dining.
The beds are rock-hard foam and the decor and amenities very outdated. Also very noisy.

If you need/want to do Tahoe on a budget, then this likey is your place. The location is central to everything that people come to Tahoe for, but as a seasoned traveller, it left a great deal to be desired. My primary negatives are listed above, but I was also disatisfied with the fact that the TV had no remote, the clock/radio was across the room, there was no coffeemaker and the shower stall (no tub) was laughably small. Also, business travellers beware: the wi-fi (no wired Internet available) is useless as you are rarely connected for more than a few seconds at a time. Strange as well is the fact that your bathroom window looks into the bathroom window of a room in the building next door! The final straw for me is that this property--which is nothing more than a bargain roadside motel, actually, and doesn't even have a pool--has the audacity to charge a $12 per night "resort fee!" Again, if you're doing Tahoe on the cheap and just need a place to store your gear, Park Tahoe Inn should be fine for you. But, if you're on vacation and wish to have a good time, spend a few more bucks and look elsewhere. ...read more

It was close to the casinos.
No breakfast or muffins in the morning.

The place looks pleasant and is so close to all the casinos and right across from Starbucks.
That $12 fee that the hotel sneaks in is kind of a slimy thing to do. They should just include it in the price of the room.

Over all the hotel was great. That $12 fee seemed messed up though.
