Hotel Guest Reviews of the Place Louis Riel Suite Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Covered parking
Paying extra for daily parking. Limited dining room (no buffets) due to holiday dates - would have been nice to know this before we arrived. one or two coffee packs requested are charged extra. Housekeeping not very flexible with cleaning

Clean, easy to find in downtown Winnipeg. Isolated from other dining facilities made room service the only option due to bad weather. Very expensive room service when tip/tax added by hotel. The $250.00 security deposit at registration desk was a surprise. Desk experienced difficulty accepting DISCOVER card for payment. Great 3 room suite for same price as smaller one room hotels. Roomy, clean, comfortable. Would probably stay here again. ...read more

The front desk accomodated us greatly by allowing my sister to check out and myself to check in to the same room.
Have no negative comments.

Good location close to shopping. I am sure that I wouldn't walk around at night on my own, but would do it in a group. Unsure of how safe it is in this area. The room was great with a separate bedroom and kitchenette which was vey useful.

Excellent and roomy 2 room suites. Our corner sweet was quiet at no extra cost.
Additional cost for parking in very tight, but indoor garage.

Our hotel suite was 2 spacious rooms, with a large sofa, lounge chair, table, kitchenette, and a work desk. Free amenities: high speed internet, coffee, dishes/pots/glasses, fridge, a microwave. I have been in other hotels in downtown Winnipeg, and this was the most comfortable for our extended 4 day stay. The hotel staff said hello in the halls. The hotel had no pool but there was a discount for the access to the athletic club across the street. There is a grocery store on the first floor. ...read more

Clean, kept pets on only specific floors. I do not think pets should be allowed at hotels. Very helpful staff.
That it allowed pets at all just do not get that.

The staff were kind friendly and knowledgeable. Room was large and spacious. The washrooms were very clean. I couldn't tell if there were pets in the building. Free Internet great.

Felt unsafe at night, people loitering near lobby, in lobby and by elevators. Were approached for money.

Some of the hotel must be apartments, because going up on the elevator some of the people getting off were not patrons of the hotel. We woke up constantly during the night as we heard people in the halls coming and going. The rooms have ranges which contributes to some unusual smells when your elevator stops between floors. Our floor also smelt like smoke even though our room was non-smoking. ...read more

There is no smoking--parking should be included with price--actually all was well --wish we'd known of the pool
That pets are allowed, as so many people have allergies to them & I am one of them-leave pets at a sitters.
