Hotel Guest Reviews of the Planters Inn
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.September 7, 2012

This was an excellent hotel. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The rooms were a little small (some have two twins) but looked nice and were clean. I would definitely stay there again. It's in the heart of downtown and you can walk everywhere in a couple minutes.

This hotel was in a great location. Within walking distance to everything! Bring able to walk right outside the door to one of the lovely park squares was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful with area information. Wine and cheese reception was a nice touch. The turn down service wasn't really a turn down service as they only left two small chocolates mints, they did make the bed or replenish towels which is what I am accustomed to with turn down service. There was no gym ,which I didn't like, but there's plenty of walking that can be done in Savannah. Wi-Fi worked well. This hotel is fine if you like old Victorian style inns. It had an old tube t.v, four poster beds, plain white knitted blankets(the kind my grandmother has). I like a more modern hotel myself. The lobby was small but nice. This hotel is very noisy. You can hear all traffic from the streets including the horses pulling the carriages. You can also hear everything in the hallway. If you are a light sleeper you won't get a good nights sleep here. I probably would stay elsewhere next time simply because of that.

This was a nice little hotel, very quaint nice romantic spot. Close to river walk, no need to drive anywhere once you arrive.

Plan on going back and staying there. The folks were very friendly. One night the night clerk and a guest staying at the hotel combined forces and sang and played the piano for an impromptu performance. Lot's of fun!
