Hotel Guest Reviews of the Planters Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Exceptional staff, very friendly and eager to help in any way to improve your stay.
Room seemed shoehorned in terms of space, esp. bathroom.

Pros: Entire staff was helpful, not only with their jobs but any other way they could be of service. Wine and cheese reception was a nice touch of luxury and made for a nice experience. The location is very convenient, especially for sightseeing around Savannah's downtown district. Meh: The continental breakfast spread is about average, won't knock your socks off. It's enough to tide you over for the start of the day before heading out about town, but won't be the most memorable part of probably any stay. Cons: Our room just faced a parking garage (these are probably the ones discounters like Priceline have to move). Also, it seemed like the room was just a weird, small fit all around. The TV was in a place where there wasn't a clear view around the four poster bed. The bathroom wasn't big enough so doors opened all the way, you couldn't stand directly in front of the sink because the toilet was right there... it's like they tried to get as much in as possible in a smallish and/or oddly shaped room. Still, the staff and the decor made it a welcoming stay. ...read more

The beds were very uncomfortable.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was the perfect location. The hotel is very quaint and cute. Would definitely stay here again!

location, cleanliness
No ice machines! I understand wanting to have bellman bring the ice to your room as a perk but it took over an hour to get ice. They are very understaffed. Need ice machine!

Great location, everything was within walking distance....
The bed sunk in the middle, it was uncomfortable...we are finding more and more that when we make a Priceline reservation, we are getting inferior beds and/or rooms.....

Old, quaint hotel...we like that kind, great location, once we had our car valet parked, we didn't get it out until we left....great historic restaurant right across the street! The Olde Pink House.

The location

We we happy with their service, especially when we arrived to find out by the front desk that Priceline cancelled our reservation. Priceline did not even send us an email explaining why the room was cancelled on their end. The hotel was very accomodating and they were able to give us the same room for the same price we originally booked at.

Location was great and allowed us to walk to the river front and the historic district. Extras like the wine and cheese and fresh cookies were a real bonus.
We enjoyed the hotel and can't think of anything that we did not like.

Planter's Inn is centrally located between the riverfront and the historic district. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops as well as ride the free trolly. The staff were helpful in suggesting tours and activities to make our visit more enjoyable. The afternoon wine and cheese party with piano was an added bonus.

Hotel room was good, location very good, staff very good.
Awakened between 2 and 3 am by loud noises by drunken revellers passing hotel. Not the hotels' fault.

Valet parking only so be aware.

We loved the location. The room looked over the park. The staff was excellent.
The breakfast area was too small. It was difficult to get a table.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location made it easy to visit the many historical sites. Savannah is a very charming community that includes excellent lodging options such as the Planter's Inn. Having a location next to the Old Pink House was a bonus.
