Hotel Guest Reviews of the Planters Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Exceptional staff, very friendly and eager to help in any way to improve your stay.
Room seemed shoehorned in terms of space, esp. bathroom.

Pros: Entire staff was helpful, not only with their jobs but any other way they could be of service. Wine and cheese reception was a nice touch of luxury and made for a nice experience. The location is very convenient, especially for sightseeing around Savannah's downtown district. Meh: The continental breakfast spread is about average, won't knock your socks off. It's enough to tide you over for the start of the day before heading out about town, but won't be the most memorable part of probably any stay. Cons: Our room just faced a parking garage (these are probably the ones discounters like Priceline have to move). Also, it seemed like the room was just a weird, small fit all around. The TV was in a place where there wasn't a clear view around the four poster bed. The bathroom wasn't big enough so doors opened all the way, you couldn't stand directly in front of the sink because the toilet was right there... it's like they tried to get as much in as possible in a smallish and/or oddly shaped room. Still, the staff and the decor made it a welcoming stay. ...read more

Great location, everything was within walking distance....
The bed sunk in the middle, it was uncomfortable...we are finding more and more that when we make a Priceline reservation, we are getting inferior beds and/or rooms.....

Old, quaint hotel...we like that kind, great location, once we had our car valet parked, we didn't get it out until we left....great historic restaurant right across the street! The Olde Pink House.

The location

We we happy with their service, especially when we arrived to find out by the front desk that Priceline cancelled our reservation. Priceline did not even send us an email explaining why the room was cancelled on their end. The hotel was very accomodating and they were able to give us the same room for the same price we originally booked at.

Hotel room was good, location very good, staff very good.
Awakened between 2 and 3 am by loud noises by drunken revellers passing hotel. Not the hotels' fault.

Valet parking only so be aware.

The location of the hotel was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, the breakfast was very good, and the historic look of the hotel was nice.
The only drawback is the valet parking for $15.00 per night, but unfortunately there are not many other options in the downtown area. Also the hotel view we had was looking directly at an old parking garage.

This was a nice hotel at a good price in the downtown area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast had a large selection and was very good. They also offered a complimentary wine and cheese reception daily which I did not partake in, but was nice for others who enjoy wine. I would've preferred complimentary valet parking instead since this was $15.00 per night. The view of the hotel was looking at an old parking garage, but other than that our stay was great and I would consider staying at this hotel in the future. ...read more

Great location, very charming and helpful friendly staff.
Room was a bit crowded and mattress was not up to standards for this type of facility.

Great time here at the Planters Inn if you are looking for an authentic period historical establishment. Very clean, wonderful helpful staff, especially Aja at the front desk.Breakfast was better than most, nice assortment of choices and staff here were very nice too!Would we stay here again...definitely!

Great location.

This is a beautiful hotel within the historic district and close to shopping and restaurants, and next door to The Older Pink Restaurant. This is a great place for tourists to stay.
