Hotel Guest Reviews of the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Honestly this place was not what it was hyped up to be. It's started out bad, and ended even worse when it ended. I was charged for stuff that I was not told about.
Everything., I was givin a room that was already occupied by someone. When I went to get another room the staff didn't seem to care. The second room was not cleaned. The shower/bath didn't worked. You want a bath, the shower head still runs. It just sucke

I wanted a room with a king bed, they gave me one with two queen beds. The master room tv controller didn't work. There was a hole on the was. I was charged a "resort fee" which I was not told about till I checked out. I was given a room that was already occupied. The staff didn't seem to care. The only good thing was the restaurant, hole in the wall, the staff there was ALOT better than hotel staff. ...read more

The pool area's.
Yes, it was very low occupancy at the time we stayed, however we were put into a room on the ground floor with a view of the maintence area and where all the delivery trucks arrive and unload. It was very loud and had a sewer smell to the area.

The Northpoint area is really taking on a run down appearance. They seem to keep the southbound building maintained much better. Grounds are starting to look run down compared to four years ago when we were there. The pool area's are nice. Would not pay full price to stay at this hotel.

the daily resort fee. I paid the fee's and was unable to connect to wifi several times.

The room had several problems. The shower did not work, had to call maitenance. Upon arrival one of the light bulbs in the bathroom was out.

The amentities for kids/families.
All was great. "The Hole In the Wall" restaurant on the Hotel property was less than to be desired. Food was terrible and over priced. I will never recommend that place to anybody! !!!!!!!!!

Was a 7 out of 10

I stayed here in October for the first time and loved it so I stayed again recently. The decor is a little dated and very 'southwest' but the place is clean and comfortable.
The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave to come home :(

Very convenient location off of the 51. Central location and a great place to stay if you are visiting the city and may want to travel North, South, East and West. The pools are quite lovely and clean. My only comment regarding the pool area would be the lounge chairs...they're kinda cheap for the price you pay. Although the ones in the courtyard pools are quite plush but HOT (dark fabric, metal and the sun do not mix). The amenities are decent. Rico's is a pretty good restaurant. I haven't been to "Hole in the Wall" so I am unable to review. The "Slim Pickin's Cafe" is just that...Slim Pickin's. Which makes for a boring lunch/snack time if you've been there before. Although...the bartenders make the drinks STRONG...which is GOOD! I HIGHLY recommend the Mai Tai! It's more like a rum punch...but with a kick...AWESOME! Don't have too many...you'll drop 'em in the lazy river like I did ;) Overall, it's a great place and reasonably priced! ...read more

Staff very friendly.
This hotel has gone down hill, sorry. For someone who has children you might find it acceptable. Definitely for families.

Room was comfortable and grounds were clean and nice.
Could hear the people in the room next to us. Front desk staff is not customer service oriented.

Priceline showed that the $18 resort fee was covered when we booked. Upon checkout, we were charged $18/ day by the hotel and when I asked the front desk about this I was told that it wasn't included. This issue needs to be clarified. If the resort fee is not included, then why was it listed as part of was covered by booking with Priceline?

The rooms were nice, but very small.
I was made to assume that an $18 rsort fee was required at check-in, which I paid, but am not sure I actualy had to. We had no time to really enjoy the Miniarture golf course and "Water Park", but the one hour we did squeeze in was a little disappointing.

If you do have to pay the resort fee, ask whether all amenities are working. The Jacuzzi was not, nor was the "100 foot water slide" (100 feet long, not 100 feet high) Jets in the spas in the pools were not working either.
