Hotel Guest Reviews of the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel & Suites

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was fine. Nothing special but acceptable. It is a tired old hotel in need of a complete updating.

Great location in town, walking distance to several pubs and restaurants.
The rooms are in need of updating, the shower head was so energy efficient it was hard to get the shampoo out of your hair. The bedding could have been better for the star rating.

Hotel was priced ok on the discount site, I would have been disappointed if the cost was anymore after seeing the room. Good location, clean but rooms are dated. Good hotel for the value. They should update the rooms and bedding.

Location.
A bit out of the 50s.

Surprisingly large room that looked recently renovated.
Dated bathroom and older towels.

If anything, Port Arthur location.
Run down with the most minimal upgrades.

Originally from Thunder Bay, this hotel was well known and considered upscale. Many family weddings were held there. Finding the best deals, we stayed at three different hotels. This one was no bargain. Even my kids wouldn't go in the pool. The bathroom featured upgraded 99 cent beige tiles on the floor, with mint green tiles straight from the 50's around the tub. The black mold in all the grout lines was disturbing as well. The ancient, single elevator served the entire building was a constant wait to get on. Beds weren't comfortable. ...read more

The amenities are cheap, especially the towels were really thin. Felt like staying a motel rather than a hotel.

It was a nice location, The train never bothered anyone and staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
Elevators were a tad slow. The pool is set way off to the side, down the hall down the step almost in another building it felt like.

We traveled with another family, 12 total people. It was an older building, but that's what we liked about the hotel. It looked little old fashion from London. The rooms were large, and comfortable. The staff were very knowledgeable. The Man at the desk actually answered every question we had for him, and was even gave his written direction to attractions in the area to entertain the kids ( all teens). I would definitively stay again ...read more
