Hotel Guest Reviews of the Quality Inn Salem

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Garrett at the front desk went way above and beyond the call of duty to help us get a smoke free room.
The room is dated and curtains were dusty. The bed was fine, the linens spotless.

Garrett at the front desk deserves a raise there were several bus groups in and he managed to deal with several difficult situations just while we waited. He was polite and calm. The woman handling the breakfast was overwhelmed trying to keep up with the rude people from the bus groups pushing and shoving for their food.

The hotel had all the amenities I desired: hot breakfast, cable TV, free WiFi networks.
The hotel seemed a bit dingy overall and there were ants in the room. The bathroom needed to be fixed up.

For the price the hotel was as expected. There were ants in the room I used and the bathroom needed to be fixed up. The caulking was peeling around the sink and in the shower and the shower curtain needed to be replaced. The hotel staff was kind and courteous during my stay.

Room was cleaned only in center - rest of room dingy & dirty. Hallways dingy, dirty, smelled like smoke. Very good breakfast. Staff very responsive and helpful.

Clean towels, clean rooms and close to highway.
Smoky smell in hallways.

Nice place to stay and next to fast food. Good breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds, very hot water in shower. Right off the highway and nice staff.

Off highway and near a reasonably priced gas station.
Was a bit beat up. Needed some TLC.

No problems at all with the reservation. Had a quiet room, but was a very cold night and we could not get the heat to a comfortable place. Also there were water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom and the room, walls, doors were in need of paint. Staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast is nice as is the space used for breakfast. Nice views of the mountains from some rooms. Pool is outdoor only and as it was winter time, did not get a chance to use it. ...read more

The 1st room they put us in, we went in the room it was extremely cold so I went to turn on the heat and the smell that came out smelt like something was burning then my kids found that the window class was broken and there were also stink bugs all over the room. They gave us the only other room available in the hotel which was a handicapped room and I did not feel like I was in a secure hotel room, the door lock was broken so the only lock we had was the one on the door itself could not use the lock that came across from the one side to the door but that room was OK except that we had to call for wash rags and we did not take showers there because in the corners of the shower it looked as if there was mold growing in there. ...read more

Free breakfast & availability of a computer
No HBO, A/C did not work, Bathroom needs work

The good: Continental Breakfast & a pretty fast internet connection on the computer in the business center. The bad: HBO signal had gone out, so I couldn't watch True Blood. The A/C unit didn't work properly until the third night! The ugly: The tub leaked the whole time, poor water pressure, the bathroom was poorly designed & the toilet is very small and uncomfortable to accomidate the door to swing all the way open. There is no fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogs up horribly. ...read more
