Hotel Guest Reviews of the Radisson Hotel Newport Beach

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nicely situated and easy to get to. Quiet even thou next to the John Wayne Airport. Good breakfast.
The first room they gave us one phone didn't work, the tv picture was fuzzy until their repairman fixed it and the closet door wouldn't work. Then in early morning someone entered our room then left. They did give us a better room and comped us breakfast.

Always check that the room they give you is working. Meaning the phones, tv, closet doors etc. The staff is courteous, they made amends for accidentally giving another pass key to our room by accident(so they say). All in all pleasant. Their bell hop personal could be more attentive for loading and unloading luggage. Easy to get to from freeway. If you need to travel by airplane you are next to John Wayne Airport. Hotel is quiet even tho next to airport. Parking is easy. It was very disturbing having someone come into ones room and their excuse that they accidentally programmed another pass key to our room. Of all the years of going to hotels I never had double locked my room door to prevent this type of situation to happen. The personal made up for this somewhat but with this happening and the room in poor order and moving to another room after being situated made our stay mediocre. ...read more

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent, and very helpful.
Didn't know that the hotel had a tennis court or we would have brought rackets.

Newly renovated lobby and rooms.
No porters. No bell carts available. No valet parking. Room not ready at check in. NOT a 3 1/2 star hotel!

Don't expect 4 star service here. You won't get it. Not even 3 star. The staff is unavailable for bag service with limited bell carts and parking is on your own. I've seen better amenities at lesser ranked hotels. Because of its proximity to the airport this hotel seems more suited to the commuter who's used to discount lodging. (this is not, however, discounted)

The pool area was beautiful. Quiet (except for planes overhead, but that was nice), shady spots to hide and lush and colourful gardens around. The staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were exceptional.
A bit far, not really in Newport Beach (outside the city limits). Inter-leading room meant we could hear the neighbours breathing.

For the price we paid, this hotel was ideal. The drive to the beach was about 15 minutes, but this meant that we spent the whole day out and about. The last day we spent laying at the hotel pool because it was just so beautiful. The hotel staff were fabulous. Attention to detail and customer satisfaction is an obvious key element to their training. The only snag was that they gave us an inter-leading room and our neighbours were two ladies attending a conference. Their evening post-conference chats were interesting, as we could hear every single word that was said. ...read more

It had a huge, comfy bed, lots of pillows and towels.

Very close to the airport but you couldn't hear the planes once inside. It had a nice workout area with ample machines and was very clean. Awesome shower!

The beds were comfortable
The staff was terrible. We had to get up for service multiple times at breakfast. The concierge called us a cab and then sent him away even as we sat where she told us to sit and it took over 30 minutes to get a cab as a result.

This hotel is in a business district so if you are looking to go to the beach or go out at night, the location is no good. However, if you need a place near the airport or you are there for a conference or something, it could be worse.

The hotel was very clean and looked nice. The staff were friendly.
A little noisy from the airport, but we knew that when we booked. One night there was a loud noise the ENTIRE night from a broken AC unit that the staff wasn't ready to fix at 3 am when it was keeping us up. The next day they were helpful.

There are a few nice restaurants nearby, including an Italian place (Il Barone) and a salsa bar for dancing. Both within walking distance.
