The rooms were spacious and the front desk staff were very accommodating and welcoming. The location is ideal and you can walk to everything is the downtown area as well as the University of Scranton.
The Sunday Brunch in Carmen's is overpriced, food mediocre, and the wait staff poor e.g. college girls not interested in serving. Very disappointed that our waitress had to be summoned. One exception, the bus guys were very responsive and courteous.
The historic aspect (former train station of 1908) of the hotel facade, lobby, and restaurant has been retained well. This made staying at the hotel a unique experience. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel, but avoid eating at Carmen's (overpriced, poor service) and find another restaurant of which there are many within walking distance.

We are train buffs and loved the location and the history of the hotel.
Parking was horrible. I also did not like that you had to pay $5 per car to park after you already paid for the hotel room. I feel if you pay to stay there then the parking should be guaranteed and free. Scranton isn't a big metropolis!

Loved the historic atmosphere of the hotel. It was also nice to be able to purchase Starbucks coffee in the morning.
Bathtubs were not clean. However the room itself was spotless.
