Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada New York Eastside
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Be aware from the smoking rooms. The lady at the reception will try her best to convince you that you asked for a smoking room-even if you called to make sure you are getting a NON smoking room !

I do not know why this hotel only receives one star. For NYC, the room was big enough, especially if you are just sleeping there. We didn't hear any noise from other rooms. The FREE breakfast had a lot of variety. The price for the hotel is fantastic.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone noting the few things we found lacking and the many things we liked. The continental breakfast was adequate with a good variety of foods and we ate it the first morning. However, with the terrific food available in NYC (even for breakfast), we ate out the remaining mornings. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. All-in-all, we'll probably be repeat customers ...

It's a very nice hotel. I was so happy and so comfortable there. My one night stay costed
xxx but I didn't think the location should have allowed it to be so pricey. It was a great neighborhood, high-class I would say, but the walk to get to anywhere if you don't take any kind of transportation is far. It wore me out. The members of the staff were all so sweet to me except for the most important one, the lady at the front desk. She was there when I checked in at 1:00pm until the next morning when I checked out at noon. Like she never went home. I was hoping to deal with someone else the next day but it was her again. She's cool and she can be nice, but she'll turn on you in a second. She comes off very rude. And the lobby isn't even a lobby at all compared to other hotels in New York. It consisted of a sofa and a chair. On the day of my reservation I had trouble with my card so I had to sit and wait for money to transfer into my account from my mom for hours and hours before I was able to go to my room and I was wishing for a bigger lobby. I wish I had known that you must present the card you used online to make the reservation when you got there to be able to use it. The area surrounding the hotel is convenient. Everything you could want is all there and the people who live there are sweet as pie. A general good vibe from that part of town, but still, a considerable amount of uphill walking to see anything that people come to NYC for. But I loved it there and I would absolutely stay there again. ...

Basic hotel and breakfast but I think it was well worth what we paid for. Rooms were overall clean and good size for NYC. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel in a nice area of Manhattan. My stay did not start out well though. I arrived for check-in and was rudely told that my reservation was cancelled. When I asked why the receptionist told me that it was because they tried to put a hold on my credit card earlier in the day and "it did not work, so the reservation was automatically cancelled." This was a lie, as she took my card then and charged it just fine without any problems. I questioned why it wouldn't work and she said that because the reservation was cancelled that "you are lucky that we still have a room for you." RUDE RUDE RUDE. I never got a phone call or an email about the cancelled reservation. It was a nice hotel, but I would not go back there because of the rude staff. Also be prepared to pay a lot for parking nearby. This hotel offers no parking and has no discounts/deals with local garages for their customers. ...

The Hotel is at a location not far from Times Square. The room was very small, but everything in it was new. It seemed as if it was recently remodeled. It was very clean and the view was pretty nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered to hold my luggage overnight after checkout because I had a very early morning flight.

The Rooms are fine but the only thing they had available was a Smoking Room. So I didn't have any choice there.
