Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada Florida City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location to Everglades National Park.
Facility is older and beginning to show signs of age.

The location was good, but getting into the hotel was difficult due to traffic.
It allowed smoking in my room, it was rather loud as well.

The room was sizable, but outdated and smelled of recent smoking. Additionally, in the morning there was no hot water (not even warm) and therefore taking a shower was a challenge. Due to the smoky room and lack of hot water I would not recommend this hotel.

Location to where I was going.
The room was noisy and poorly kept.

This hotel was a place to rest your head. Otherwise, it was not worth even what I thought was a cheap price on Priceline.

Close proximity to Everglades.
Rooms need updating, Worn carpeting has absorbed the subtle smell of too many years of use, Dated bath and toilet area.

With a posted $90 rate, having to pay $85 per night was not a deal. A late arriving flight, resulted in a check-in time of 2:00 AM.(Jan 29)The front desk was staffed and our room was available. Room had aromatic "lived in" smell. Breakfast was so-so. They need to train someone on the finer art of cooking scrambled eggs. Left for a day at the Everglades at 9:00AM. Returned at 4:30 PM . Room was not cleaned. We said OK, because we were going out for dinner. Returned in a few hours , room still not cleaned. Received fresh towels from front desk, but informed the night manager that the situation was not acceptable. Checked-out the next morning (Jan 30). Asked for compensation. Manager explained that rooms are only cleaned once per 24 hour period. Although we were booked for arrival on the 28th , but checked in at 2 AM on the 29th, the room was scheduled for cleaning after check-out on the 30th. The manager also added that due to our 2 AM check-in we were only charged for one night (the 29th). Interesting.

Had everything we needed for a reasonable price in the area. Beat staying in the keys.
The smoke alarm battery ran out and began to beep very loudly in the night but was fixed promptly.

We were very pleased with this hotel. If you are traveling to the keys and want to save money this is the route to go. You get a lot more bang for your buck staying in Florid city.

Location, and nice TV.
The mold and dirty .

I have traveled for years and stay at about 50 different hotels each year for work. This hotel is the second worst hotel I have ever stayed at in the last 8 years. We found
stain on the bath tub, the floors were dirty, one bed had dirty sheets, the bathroom had more mold then paint and I will not get into the smell. When we arrived another guest was at the counter complaining about how dirty his room was. I thought at that time that maybe he was just complaining for something free, but I understood after getting in the room. The reason my wife and I did not complain was were tired and did not want to go through the hassle of changing rooms. The guy at the counter complaining was there for 20+ minutes and we had been traveling all day. We decided to just made it through the night and went on our way realizing that we would never go to Ramada again. I have booked 2 star hotels through Priceline before with no problems.

Nothing.
This was old and smelly and not comfortable.

We are staying here on our way to Key West. Can't complain, we we will be in the keys soon, but still. You must know. I won this place through Priceline. I was happy because they accept pets. There is a pet fee for $25. I try to be open minded, but since you must know, we went across the street to Walgreens to get a candle. It smelled of must - STRONG. My husband also turned on the heater. It smelled of extremely strong B.O. I was concerned about bed bugs. I looked on the sheets they looked OK. However, pillow cases had some stains on them. I am apprehensive about staying here tonight. I would rather stay at the Starbucks across the street, but this is just a quick stay until we get to paradise. I will survive. ...read more

Friendly and functioning front desk staff. Great location for my business.
Not that clean and could not find ice machines.

Excellent and affordable hotel if you are a business traveler to the Keys.

I liked the setup of the room, and the overall hotel decor.
House keeping ladies were rude, unprofessional, and kept knocking at or door even after we said we didn't need room service.
