Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada Hotel And Convention Centre - Regina

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff were pleasant & very accommodating.
Difficult to stabilize temperature. Even when adjusting the setting, it kept it warm at 76 degrees or above, unless you manually set it to blow cool air.

Was above in cleanliness based on the number of stars.

our room was quiet
room was very small, no refrigerator

Sidewalk around entrance was chipped and broken, and unkept, deck paint was chipped and peeling since paint was old and untouched for many years. Extremely discouraging to a new guest as one walks to the hotel. Rooms are very small, staff is rude, and price is too high for the quality. Parking was $24.00. We had a small trailer and it was necessary to park in the street. One did not feel welcome at this hotel. ...read more

Good location, parking.
It is getting tired. Bordering on a 2+ star.

The decor is dated and is getting tired. Time for a reno. However - it wasn't bad. No major issues.

The staff were terrific.

The hotel is very nicely renovated inside. The staff are excellent. They had a Keurig coffeemaker in the room so we could have an individual choice of coffee or tea. Also great that it is pet friendly. We were definitely glad we chose this hotel and would recommend it to others.

Really liked the comfortable bed and pillows.
I did not like the fact that we had to pay for parking, and that there was no continental breakfast. The rooms could have been a little nicer, as in, more modern. Things were dated like the heater/air conditioner, windows and such.

Pros: Comfortable bed, easy to find, clean, and the lobby was very nice. Cons: $12 a day to park (not included with room), and no continental breakfast. Restaurant was okay to eat at.

Room had a water leak along the wall that separated the bedroom from the bathroom. The carpet was soaked and moldy. The water in the bathroom tub/shower was turned off so we could not even shower!
See above comment. I complained to the staff and to date nothing has happened. My asthma acted up with the mold in the room and we had no shower

The general hotel ambience was acceptable but my opinion of the facility is jaded by my bad room experience plus the fact that the priceline website was not working properly when I booked this room. I could not enter a bid into the box and I ended up paying a premium price for a substandard room. I am very disappointed with both my Priceline and Ramada Inn experience. I tried calling priceline but I did not get any customer service, they just kept repeating the same slogan that there is no changes or refunds to my room. After many attempts to have my reservation changed I finally gave up because each customer service rep just sounded like a parrot when they said that they are very sorry and they would like to help me--which was obviously not the case. I have used priceline numerous times before but I am not sure if I will ever use this service again after this experience. ...read more

I never thought I would say that I liked the fact that the hotel had underground parking but there was a blizzard that day and night. I was thankful to have a snow free car the next morning. The parking was only $12/night - a nice surprise.
I don't know if it was the hotel's policy to automatically put Priceline guests into a smoking room, but I needed a disability room so was able to change.

Phone the hotel after you get your booking to make sure that you were not booked into a smoking room (unless that is what you want).

The under ground heated parking was definitely nice. Kept from snow on the vehicle and having to start it up in the mornings.
The price for parking was a little too much money at $12/night

hot tub, pool, sauna
Other than parking charge, the hotel is fine for just one night. The only problem is with Priceline.com . Priceline.com only likes to book with every single hotel as a room with a SINGLE bed. Why ?? Meanwhile the standard roomwith any hotel has

This hotel is decent and located at a convenient location. It has pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise rooms. It's great for anyone that is interested. My room windows on 12th floor needed to be replaced since they fogged up with ice between glass panes.Needless to say, I could not see much outside. This Hotel'sParking is underground and you have to pay for it.It usually costs $10 overnight. Meanwhile another hotel across the street has free parking in their open parking lot ...read more

Nothing.
The hotel moved us to two rooms, neither of the heaters worked right. I don't know if any rooms had heaters that worked. I think the heaters are the original ones from the 1970's. The manager did nothing, don't stay here.

Do not stay at this hotel, the heaters are probably the original ones from the 1970's. We could not get the heaters to work properly. -20 & -30's you need a heater. The sauna was out of order. The manager did nothing for us to make our stay reasonable. This is not a 3 star hotel. Heaters must work and items that are deficient should be brought to your attention, before you check in.Do not stay here. ...read more
