Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Salinas

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I was able to see my family and get to our event rather quick.
The hotel was more of a motel.

The Hotel was affordable for the are, but was not at all luxurious. It met average accommodations standards.

The staff was friendly and breakfast was better than expected.
We don't smoke and were put in a smoking room. Parking was over crowded.

Hotel is fine if you don't mind being in a smoking room and your not worried about someone hitting your car. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Our room was very clean it just reeked of smoke.

The beds were clean.
Two people in the room. One worn out wash cloth and dirt on the floor.

Our floor in the room was dirty. Lots of old grass on the floor by the bathroom. The bathroom needed to be painted and the bath tub was dirty and would not drain. We were given a smoking room and told we could not upgrade.

The location was perfect.
We accidentally booked smoking and were not able to change it. The room had a strong odor that permeated my clothes.

For the price of the room, I think this hotel was great. The location to the Monterey Jazz Festival was ideal. The travel time to the fairgrounds was less than 45 minutes. The mini refrigerator and microwave were extras that were really needed. For a two day stay and not in the room a lot of the time it was ideal.

Staff was friendly.
Room carpet was old and room smell was not very nice.

If you really don't care about the condition of the hotel this is an OK place to stay. It was reasonably clean but very old furnishings.
