Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada Plaza Downtown St. Louis Convention Center

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Clean rooms.
Car was broken into. Nobody at the hotel alerted me, even though they worked on the police report.

I would not recommend this hotel due to safety concerns.

The staff was so helpful. We needed some late night food and they produced a list of places that would deliver or what was in walking distance.
It cost $15 to park but you save money if you buy it from the hotel. It was all a little confusing.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was VERY helpful. The bar and restaurant were nice to have in the hotel. Cute swimming area. Overall excellent stay.

After using Priceline for past 3-4 years and nearly always using 3 stars or better as part of my selection, this hotel did not meet my expectations. General areas were in need of repairs, ceiling had plaster issues, room a/c didn't work properly,

not much. went to the hotel restaurant for a late night snack...had to wait 20 minutes for a cheesecake to go.
used condemn wrapper on night stand...the front desk upgraded rooms with an apology. hotel was not in the best part of town. several car windows were broken in the night. was met by "security" to tell us. we were lucky but the car next to us was not.

do not park in parking lot next door. use garage. check rooms for used condemn wrappers. do go to restaurant for late night snack or you will wait for ever! front desk said do not walk north of the hotel its not the best area. was ok walking south but was met by many homeless begging for money. many homeless under the bridges when walking. you have to pay for parking everywhere you go and its hard to find. walking is the best way around. you have to cross a lot of major intersections to go to any sites. ...read more

Location...near entertainment district.
Hallways dirty. The place is a bit rundown. This is not a 3 star hotel.

It was close to the America's Center where our event was that weekend.
The shower was hard to figure out and I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk since they wouldn't answer the in house line.I had to argue with the manager to get reinbursed for a day I did not stay. We left early afternoon and would pd.

There weren't any bellboys to help with luggage but racks you could use for selfservice. The parking was about 1/2 block away and it rained all weekend. We felt very unsafe due to the rough looking street behind the convention center. Bathroom shower was not turning on. After speaking to someone at front desk, from my cell, she said it was hard to pull out. What! That was very uncalled for. ...read more

Staff was very helpful when asking for information on certain types of designer stores in the area that you couldn't google to find. Much appreciated.
The wait time @ the counter was bad when there were several people checking in & out.Twice, there was only 1 person @ the counter w/5 people needing service. Even though there were associates in the back, no one would come out to help. Very frustrating.

Hotel was very nice. I didn't care that the elevators were only located at one spot. We had to walk forever to get to our rooms because of this. I thought it strange that the only trash can available was in the bathroom, but the room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant waitress was super attentive and friendly. I found that the night staff was much more pleasant to deal with than the morning staff. I didn't like having to pay $15 a day for parking. That was one draw back. Though I could've taken my chances on the street at the meters. All-in-all, a great stay. I'd go back. ...read more

Shower fairly difficult to figure out, had to call the front desk, to find out that you have to pull out very hard to turn on. A sign may have saved the need for a call. Other than that everything was fine.

Great location, near nightlife and the city museum
There was no continental breakfast and the coffee in the lobby was subpar.

Parking at the hotel costs extra $, but the location is great. Walking distance from good bars, restaurants and the city museum. The hotel staff allowed us to switch from a king bed to two double beds at no extra charge.
