Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada St. Joseph
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

I have stayed at Ramada Inn in the past, even the one in St. Joseph, MO, but the room I had this time was sub-par. As I previously mentioned, there was visible mold everywhere and the shower back flowed pretty bad. It got worse the more showers that were taken; it would have been easier just to take a bath but I did not want to make direct contact with the tub because it was pretty disgusting (wore sandals while standing to take shower). The mini fridge in the room also did not work properly. The bed was pretty comfortable but it was definitely on its last legs; it squeaked quite a lot. Also, the biggest disappointment was when I got my workout clothes on and the staff informed me that every machine in the fitness room was broken and needed to be replaced. That was a let down because I typically like to workout anytime I stay in a hotel. The positive thing about the hotel was the staff. They were very friendly, from the front desk staff when I checked in to the housekeeping staff. Everyone was willing to answer my questions, I just didn't like the answers! The hotel also has a free continental breakfast with real food like sausage and scrambled eggs and you're allowed to bring it back to your room and eat. The room came with many of the standard amenities one would expect, again, it was the fact that some of it did not work that was the big letdown. ...

The Ramada is kid friendly with its waterpark. It is a hotel of over 40 years of age and the waterpark seems to be its only update, but everything in the room was in working order, and it was clean. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel and another nearby. The hotel appeared to be very popular with youth sports teams the night I stayed. Although they seem far more interested in each other than the customer, the front desk staff is pretty quick once they grace you with their attention. ...

Ok, I want to thank the hotel staff for being so polite and friendly. This hotel is not new. Its outdated and needs to be completely remodeled. It needs new fixtures, new carpet. That being said, it cost money to do those things and that has to be passed on to the consumer.
The Breakfast for free in the morning is terrific. Those staff members in that area were very upbeat.
The Price-Line price for the room was very inexpensive, so when you factor everything in I thought the value was fair for what we got. I would rather pay more and get more. ...
