Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada Utica Area/New Hartford NY

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Sadly, there was nothing that really stood out about this hotel.
Only that it was cheesy, rundown, and in need of a complete makeover. And I must say, the breakfast buffet was quite disappointing.

Staying here you will probably save money, but you get what you pay for, or at least I certainly did. I must say, I've stayed in a number of 2 star hotels, but never one as cheesy as this: dark, not really clean, thin walls--I really regret not spending a couple extra bucks for a 3 star.

the room rate

The hotel room rate was the only thing positive about this place. It wasn't as easy to get to ask I thought. It's back door entry was always open and could lock if you tried. the hallway lights were very dim making it hard to see down the hallway. The room was adequate as to bed and size, but it wasn't very clean(dust along the baseboard and especially around the heating/ac unit). The bathtub had mold in the corners. The room I had was old and desperately needed to be updated. ...read more

I really enjoyed leaving.
Pretty much everything about this hotel was a nightmare. I was put in a smoking wing of the hotel without being asked about it. This place was disgusting and should be torn down. I live in hotels across the country all year and this was the worst one.

If you book this one on accident, cancel it immediately. I'd rather sleep in the car. Burn holes and dirt all over the room, then a major domestic abuse issue in the room next to us from 3:30am-4:30am. Just try to imagine a worst case scenario, then add a few disgusting things you never would have thought of. Oh, the hot water didn't work in the bathroom sink either. I'm praying bed bugs don't start popping up on my stuff. ...read more

The hotel room was adequate. Not too roomy but what I expected. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Good location. Not noisy.
Didn't like the foam pillows-too high and we could not use them. There were plenty of them though. There was an ice machine almost across from our room, but it did not work. Seemed to have the very same problem the last time we stayed here.

Room was adequate for the price...a bit tight to move around in but it was what I expected. Bathroom was small. Breakfast was included, and was good. There was a nice selection of restaurants, stores, etc. within a few miles. The ice maching almost across from our room did not work - it was not working the last time I stayed here either. Had to go down a couple of hallways to find another one. The light in the stairway to the 2nd floor was out. We mentioned it to the staff and it was fixed when we returned from dinner. One hallway on the main floor was very dark - like they were trying to save on electricity. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again, because it is easy to get to and quiet (not near any major highways or truck traffic). ...read more

Nothing special about this place.
The halls are VERY dark, even during the day. It's also in a secluded, creepy location.

It's cheap. That's all it's got going for it.
