Hotel Guest Reviews of the Red Carpet Inn & Suites Albany

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location.
Dirty, broken furniture, looks really old and unkempt.

I was very disappointed with my choice to stay at this hotel. The hotel does not have a restaurant therefore i could not eat breakfast there and personally I don't think that I would have wanted to. The cleaning staff took my towel and wash cloth that I brought in from home. how on earth they could mistake my towel for the ones they had there really beats me.

It was not far from the NY Bar Testing site.
It was dilapidated and had no security or amenities.

This hotel was nicely princely, but it was very raggedy and run down. The bed was clean and comfortable. However, it had huge pits and chips in the bathtub, wet paint smells in the room, rain stains on the walls and ceiling. There was no adequate security or amenities. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location to University was good.
One step up from a pay by the hour motel.

This hotel is not recommended because it's only one step up from a pay by the hour motel. This hotel needs to be replaced with a new one.

The size of the room was large and that was nice.
It was dirty and cheap.

The hotel has potential to be nice but it wasn't a nice stay. Had to change rooms because the sheets and bed was dirty.

Staff was pleasant.
Dirty

Hotel was to be as expected for the price, bathroom was rather dirty, just an overall uncleanly feeling.

Nasty property, staff unfriendly. Very uncooperative and argumentative. Hotel is poor condition, and not recommended.

Near the highway.
Bathroom was falling apart.

Clean main room, quiet location, and good price.

Dirty and creepy.

I didn't even end up staying the night at this hotel. From the minute I walked in I got a bad vibe and just got more and more creeped out. Anyone could just wander into the hotel from the back parking lot because the doors were not locked and required no type of key entry, which made me very uncomfortable as a 20-something female traveling alone in an unfamiliar area. Half of the things in my room were broken, including the dresser, closet door and two lamps and things just seemed dirty. In the bathroom there were huge mats of long black hair in the shower, which was the last straw for me. I left immediately and checked into another hotel, returning in the morning to check out of this one. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. ...read more

There was a lot of locals and people from all walks of life lived in this hotel. Very strange environment.
