Hotel Guest Reviews of the Red Roof Inn - Chesapeake

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Upgraded design and fabrics patterns.
Non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Could smell the neighbors smoking too.

Very nice- great value for the money. Excellent location- close to restaurants, mall, and interstate.

I knew there was going to be a problem as soon as we pulled up, because of the dingy and dated exterior but figured I'd give it a shot. The first room they gave me smelled strongly of pot. I wanted to go to a different hotel, but couldn't get a refund from the hotel since I booked online. The second room was dusty and the furniture had pet hair on it. When my husband and I lifted the mattress to check for bedbugs, we discovered that the box-spring on his side of the bed had a huge hole in it like someone had used it to stash something. The lobby reeked and on our second night some guests were throwing a party. I was looking for a cheap place to stay and I certainly got it. ...read more

Great location/easy to find.
There were no bath towels and there was no phone in the room. The lobby was locked after dark.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and close to restaurants.
Too many young people running in and out of hotel rooms and parking lot.

Easy to get to. Hotel across the street had a bar and restaurant.
Very large family of 6+ living in the room next to us.

Heading to Farm Bureau Live for a concert and need something cheap and close. This hotel met both needs. When we got back after the concert we walked right across the street and had a drink before it closed. Very friendly front desk staff and comfy bed. Loud in-wall air-conditioner.

The room was clean and included everything I needed for a low price.
The outer appearance of the hotel is really outdated.

Good value, clean and
no insects.
Musty smelling especially the AC. Glad to have a no-smoking option. Easily fixed with Fabreze.

Staff very pleasant and helpful even with the weather report for a outside family event. Check out was a snap. Clean room, fresh towels daily. Parking in right outside the room for convenience. Location just a block off highway, but noise not a problem.

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable room was spotless and appeared to be recently renovated.
No pool or hot tub, no continental breakfast.

Easy to find, staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean Wi Fi worked, AC worked. Wished it had a pool.

Was only a couple of minutes from where I needed to be the following day.

Good basic hotel. No frills other than TV
and Internet access. The room was clean and nice for what I paid. I stay there usually.
