Hotel Guest Reviews of the Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh East - Monroeville

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided wonderful suggestions for places to eat in the area.
I have nothing negative to say.

Nothing!
Outdated rooms, tight bathroom, air cond.- loud noises, cement wall for view room next to steps, no cont. breakfast, not enough towels

Expected more in a Red Roof hotel - more updates and a few amentities. Certainly not comparable to a Best Western or Comfort Inn !!! More like a Motel 8.Not enough towels and when asked for them, they gave us more bath mats. Bathroom was tight, hardly able to get door open and walk in without hitting the bathtub, etc. No continental breakfast - only reg. coffee and tea with powdered creamer. Room had a view of a cement wall and staircase - noisy all night. The air conditioner made a loud noise all night when it ran. Ceiling in room had a huge crack down the middle of it. Room looked like it hadn't been painted in a long time. No hairdryer provided nor in-room coffee maker (no amentities whatsoever). No swimming pool or area to relax outside - other tenants were sitting out on the steps to the second level - no outside sitting area. ...read more

Nothing.
Everything.

If you plan on sleeping, don't stay here. First off we were not told construction was going on above our room. When we asked to change rooms, the front desk attendants said we could not because the room was already paid for. We could hear every cough, sneeze, and fart of the man next door to us. The staff is plain awful. The rooms are even more so. I travel for work and I have to say this was the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. ...read more

The room was cold, dirty, there was a half to 3/4 inch gap under our door. Paint was peeling from the walls. When i arrived all my personal information was incorrect. They attempted to charge me twice for my room. And then i had to argue to get a receipt at the end of my stay. I will never stay at a Red Roof again.

We got a microwave and refrigerator and did not have to pay extra for it.
Did not clean the room while we were away.

In spite of housekeeping not doing their job, the hotel was very good. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves while we were in Pittsburgh. The price was very reasonable and would recommend the Red Roof Inn to my friends.

I was put into a handicapped room with no work space and the bathroom had no place to see any of my toiletries. To many guys standing outside drinking.

I have been staying at this hotel for around 10 years and this was my worst stay. The room was the worst I had. The evening front desk girls sat outside smoking and playing video games. Some of the male guest stood outside drinking beer and leaving cans on the ground outside the doors. These were around the middle of the first floor and I had to walk across them standing and drinking. I checked out 3 days before my trip was to end. ...read more
