Hotel Guest Reviews of the Redwood Motel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.October 26, 2011

For the price paid this was the worst buying experience in recent memory. Total rip-off. Shower curtain was falling apart, there was a used piece of soap on the floor of the shower. No bathtub. Light bulbs out. There was mold in the microwave. A nasty experience. I've never experienced such a noisy bed before.

It's a one-star hotel. If you want a bed, a shower and a TV, that's what you get. The location is fantastic, and it was definitely the cheapest fare we found. The sheets were clean, the rest of the room was clean enough, the bed was comfy (if a bit squeaky) and the water pressure was nice.
On the other hand: The "lobby" is just a desk in a tiny room, and we had to make a phone call to get someone to come to the desk. The lamp was off, making the lightswitch useless until we had stumbled through the dark. The shower was dripping until we twisted the knobs shut. There were a dozen beetles clinging to the inside of the window screen -- I shooed as many as possible outside while my wife was distracted and simply hid the rest from her. In the morning, we had to leave our key on a doorstep.
The basics are fine, the courtesies are not. You'll need to decide how important those are to you. ...
