Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel had a really good staff, all were friendly and most helpful, from the first arrival at valet parking to reservations desk.
Everything had a price, from $32. daily for parking to $6.00 for a bottle of water. There is no continental breakfast; no public parking spaces, so one had to use the hotel parking.

Had no need of any of the staff, but all seemed courteous
The lighting in the bathroom is particularly bad. The make-up mirror is of little assistance because of dim lighting. Would strongly suggest at least a lighted make-up mirror!

The hotel is lovely, well appointed and, above all, is in a great location for both business or pleasure!

Friendly staff, and about as walkable as Atlanta is going to get.
I don't love having rooms near the elevator, but it was actually not very noisy. And I suspect tipping the desk clerk might have helped him get over the fact that I booked on Priceline. Really would be nice to have on site self-park.

Atlanta is not a very walkable city, but this is a pretty good spot to stay if you're without an automobile -- MARTA stop is a few blocks away, and a bus runs on 10th a couple blocks north of the hotel as well. We did rent a car for the weekend. The valet parking is easy enough to avoid with a little legwork (literally) -- there's a public lot 2 blocks away where you can park for 24 hours for $10 (12 hours for $7 and 6 hours for $5). I think there are lots that are closer with hourly parking as well, and there's metered street parking half a block away. I did not find parking a challenge in this part of town on the weekend, though the lot I parked in all weekend was pretty full when I left Monday morning, so YMMV. Location is great -- close to restaurants and bars we wanted to visit, and a pretty easy walk to Piedmont Park and Margaret Mitchell house (went to former, passed by the latter). Had dinner at The Spence 2 blocks away, breakfast at Flying Biscuit a five-minute walk from the hotel, and took a long stroll (it *is* quite a hike) to the Botanical Gardens one morning too. I do actually like to walk, so that's not a big deal. Room was clean and comfortable -- I was here to visit friends for a few days after a 5-day business trip in Athens, so maybe it was just my exhaustion but I slept like the dead here, and I rarely sleep well in hotels. Overall, a great stay. ...read more

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious.
I thought the prices for room service were extreme. I found that my vehicle had been hit while in the care of the valet. I didn't notice until I was already home which was 2 hours away and by that point I knew there wasn't any reason to call the hotel.

It was convenient to restaurants and shopping and had great views. I would've definitely recommended until I found my vehicle was damaged while in valet.

This hotel is in a great location, was a super nice room and best of all has a rooftop bar that was a perfect place to hang out and relax. Staff was great from the valet to the bellman.
Nothing bad I can say

nice hotel, comfortable bed , very friendly staff.
did not like having to pay $32 a day for parking and $15 a day for WIFI.also wanted to use the complementary transportation but it stops running at 10pm. so we could get a ride to our show at the Fox but could not get one back.

The hotel was beautiful but standard rooms were smaller than I'm used to at a four star hotel. Very friendly staff and rooms were very clean.
