Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 17, 2013

The hotel is lovely, well appointed and, above all, is in a great location for both business or pleasure!

Atlanta is not a very walkable city, but this is a pretty good spot to stay if you're without an automobile -- MARTA stop is a few blocks away, and a bus runs on 10th a couple blocks north of the hotel as well. We did rent a car for the weekend. The valet parking is easy enough to avoid with a little legwork (literally) -- there's a public lot 2 blocks away where you can park for 24 hours for $10 (12 hours for $7 and 6 hours for $5). I think there are lots that are closer with hourly parking as well, and there's metered street parking half a block away. I did not find parking a challenge in this part of town on the weekend, though the lot I parked in all weekend was pretty full when I left Monday morning, so YMMV. Location is great -- close to restaurants and bars we wanted to visit, and a pretty easy walk to Piedmont Park and Margaret Mitchell house (went to former, passed by the latter). Had dinner at The Spence 2 blocks away, breakfast at Flying Biscuit a five-minute walk from the hotel, and took a long stroll (it *is* quite a hike) to the Botanical Gardens one morning too. I do actually like to walk, so that's not a big deal. Room was clean and comfortable -- I was here to visit friends for a few days after a 5-day business trip in Athens, so maybe it was just my exhaustion but I slept like the dead here, and I rarely sleep well in hotels. Overall, a great stay. ...

It was convenient to restaurants and shopping and had great views. I would've definitely recommended until I found my vehicle was damaged while in valet.

The hotel was beautiful but standard rooms were smaller than I'm used to at a four star hotel. Very friendly staff and rooms were very clean.
