Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Boca Raton

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The pool area and work our room were very nice.
I wish I knew the hotel was under construction. It was very noisy and smelly and we waited for elevators. At the price we paid, we should have known this ahead of time to make other arrangements

Star rating and room service
No

The hotel staff was very accomodating, we ordered room service past the operating hours and they filled the order and the food was excellent.

Location and staff
Did not think it was worth 4 stars. It was a nice hotel but did not have the things a 4 star hotel should have... I would say it was a good 3 star hotel for conferences. Towels were poor quality, bathroom door looked cheap.. toilet had a weird flushing

The pool service and the food were great!!!
There were no double bed rooms, to accommodate us (two adult two children) the explain that in the "small printout" of our reservation said that they are able not to fulfill any request. They gave us a king for the FOUR!!!! AWFULL experience

Before you go to this hotel I would advice to make sure you have a room available

I liked the location of the hotel, as it was only minutes away from Lynn University where my son is a student.
We ate in the bar area late Sunday evening and the staff was tired and uninterested in serving us. Also, upon checking in, as a gold elite member of Marriott, I wasn't told about the concierge level. Most Marriotts place my room on the concierge

The hotel has a pretty great location near stores, restaurants, and the local universities. The pool area is pretty, but the lounge chairs are dated and uncomfortable and too few. Service in the restaurant bar needs improvement. I had to ask for towels a number of times. It is not the level of service you generally receive at a Marriott.

Great location near I-95, central pool area is fantastic, lots of shopping and dining within walking distance.
The room was very dated, including a musty-smelling carpet, and a filthy room safe that seemed to be from the 1950s. Many fixture issues in the room: loose electrical plate covers, missing hook on bathroom door.

I'll review this hotel by listing the elements that fit the 4-star rating, and those that did not. Met the 4-Star Rating: -Attentive staff. -Great location (near highway, shopping, dining) -Fantastic pool area. Did not meet the 4-Star Rating: -Dated room decor. -Loose, missing fixtures (electrical covers, door hooks) -Dirty elements in room (carpet was musty, very old and dirty safe in room) -Highway noise (even with sealed windows) ...read more

front desk staff very pleasant.
lots of outside, hall noise entering room. bathroom at a 2-star level. room furnishings below average

located very close to the fine Town Shops Mall of Boca Raton. self-parking option in valet-parking obsessed South Florida very much appreciated.

Very nice entry area and great location near 95
The bathroom was fine but the room itself very outdated. We stayed on the 1st floor and it was not a great area. Should have changed rooms. Also very strong disinfectant smell in the room.

Overall I tend to love all Mariott properties. This is the first one I would not return to .

price, location
Worn, not too clean, dingy, dated

This is at best a 2 1/2 star hotel and doesn't live up to the Renaissance brand.
