Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort And Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Beautiful Hotel and Pool. Great for kids. They have activities everyday for kids and Movies at night.
The Parking was not good. If you get back to the Hotel after midnight, let's just say I hope you have your walking shoes on. Of coarse you can valet for $24 a day.

I really was impressed with the Hotel overall. The Hotel is beautiful. The pool is very nice. The Hotel is great for Families. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The location was great. It was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable.
There were not enough chairs to fit all the people utilizing the swimming pool. the staff did not do anything to help fix the problem.

It has a very nice fitness center and bicycles that we were able to use and that was fun. When we complained about how noisy our room was, the staff moved us to a quiet room at 1:30 am.
Put us in a horrendously noisy room over the pool and bar. The pool so crowded we were never able to get a place to sit. When arrived hit with a mandatory xxx/night services fee (plus tax) that we were not made aware when booking thru Priceline!!!!

This was a very beautiful hotel. Good location next to a golf course. Service was good and staff friendly. All rooms in the main building facing onto the atrium/bar/lobby VERY noisy all hours of the day and night.

The food was good but a little expensive - especially when you consider it's more of a family place and my kids were ordering smoothies by the pool at $8 a pop. I think they could have offered a kid-size version and made it a little less expensive.
The vending room where we had to get ice smelled awful and apparently there was nothing that could be done. The elevator to the pool was very slow, but it was nice to be that close to that end of the hotel so the pool was easy to get to for the kids.

It was a great place for me and my two kids to stay. I wouldn't come here if I didn't have kids, though because "peaceful and relaxing" was not the poolside experience. My kids LOVED it because they made all kinds of friends at the pool both days. If I was going without them, I'd want to stay at a place with an "adult" pool so I didn't have to get splashed or hear screaming all day. :) ...read more

Everyone was very friendly except the pool attendant/ bartender. Easy to park your own car.
Stayed a wk in Jan for business. My husband's wallet was stolen in the hotel, a huge hassle because he couldn't fly home without his ID. We hoped this stay would be different but the pool bartender was so rude to us we cut our stay short & won't return.

Renaissance Esmeralda is well located for access to golf, restaurants and evening attractions.
I have zero complaints about the hotel. What was a major disappointment was the high price I received in bidding. Including "resort fee" I wound up paying xxx. per night for a standard room. That is close to the rack rate and not a bargain.

Amazing staff! There was an incident that resulted in the front desk and valet having to reroute their services, but even this was done with a smile. They were very helpful, patient and the disruption was minimal. Will stay there again!
Wished that I would have known that there would be as many small children and families. But it was spring break, so that may just be par for the course.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff, the location and the facilities. Loved the "beach" at the pool! The concierge was very helpful in finding an amazing local sushi place. The staff had an unusual challenge to deal with on the day of our departure, but they went above and beyond to get 400+ check-outs done without any obvious disruption. They made the guests feel comfortable and most were unaware of any challenges. ...read more

The amenities were fabulous and it was very easy to relax. I loved the sushi bar, pool, gelato and very soft white sheets Although I don't have kids, I loved that they worked so hard to make the hotel child friendly.
Parking - $25/day for the parking garage. Very little free parking.

If you have kids, it is a great place to stay. The pool is broken up into a few pools - one is 1-foot deep, two are 3-feet deep and an adult pool. One end of the adult pool is sand, like the beach and the hotel provides little shovels and buckets for the kids. I loved the sushi bar - very fresh. The sheets were extra soft. I would return in a heartbeat.
