Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 6, 2013

The hotel was beautiful. I love the art, the piano player, the beautiful arrangements.

Downtown New Orleans has a lot to see and do. Trendy and hip, yet historic as well. Not very impressed with this hotel however.

This hotel was a three star hotel, area was excellent close to major attractions. Staff were superb and knowledgable. Hotel was good, nothing fantastic or awesome, but quality was good. Rooms were adequate. Windows opened to other guests rooms or elevators. Parking was pricey, ($34.00 plus tax daily).

very usefull place few steps from the French Quarter and the Mississippi river. If you use your coupons found on internet you can park around for next to nothing.

The location is a great. The rooms are nice. Everyone who was on staff with the EXCEPTION of Management and the night desk staff was excellent. I am disappointed in the night desk staff and the Management who handled our late night check in. By the way, late night check in is guaranteed by Priceline according to their message and fine print in confirmation email. As stated before in a previous comment; when we checked in we were told that they were overbooked and they would put us up in another hotel. We could not go to another hotel because we couldn't move back in the morning due to other plans in the morning. Then I called Priceline which took forever and finally had to hang up after a non-ending continuous hold. Finally after we argued they "found" a room surprisingly. Then I got a an email from Priceline proceeding this incident claiming we NEVER checked in with the Priceline itinerary insinuating it was our own fault. So to sum it up ... according to this hotel ... we bought this hotel on Priceline and then deliberately went to this hotel and tried to pay 3 times the price for a room by not checking in with our Priceline hotel itinerary .... remind you even when they checked our reservation under our names they did not realize I guess it was a Priceline room???? .... just boggles the mind doesn't it .... and then just for kicks we turned around and complained .... I guess because we couldn't pay more money for our room after all. If it sounds farfetched .... it is ... and this hotel Management needs some new if this is the way the run a business. ...

Great hotel except, too much charge for parking and for using the internet in the room

We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It is really close to the museums, galleries, Harrah's, and Fulton Street. The Riverside trolley is the best way to get to the French Quarter, but be warned, the average wait time is 40 minutes (not the 20 minutes they advertise). Another helpful hint: instead of paying the $34 per day hotel valet parking, there is a $7 per day parking lot less than 2 blocks away. ...

Common areas need to be refreshed but not unacceptable. Rooms are nice, clean and quiet. Would probably stay there again. Stayed at the hotel because of the proximity to the arena next to the superdome.

The valet failed to unload our luggage when we arrived. We waited 45 minutes and when we called to inquire about it, we were told, "he forgot to get your luggage", so he had to go back to the garage and get it. We were told breakfast wasn't included because we booked through Priceline and didn't pay enough. Front desk staff was rude. The bed pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The AC constantly turned off and on all night. ...

The hotel was beautiful and the room was very accomodating, but the best thing was the customer service provided by the wonderful staff. Customer service still exists!
