Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 25, 2013

This hotel will not disappoint, but be aware that the rooftop pool is more of a puddle than a pool.... but then again, who goes to NOLA to stay at the hotel?

The location is great, you're a block away from one of New Orleans best restaurants, Mother's. You're a few blocks from the French Quarter. The room was elegant, and had neat artwork on the walls. It was made up to high standards on a daily basis. Beyond that, there was nothing special about the room. It had a tiny bathroom. This is probably the norm at downtown hotels. The lobby was nice, it had many pieces of neat artwork. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. My only gripe with the hotel is that they nickel-and-dime you at every turn. Parking is $38 a day plus tips. That's half of what I paid for room itself. Luckily I checked on this beforehand, and got a slightly cheaper parking lot down the street. I had no qualms about walking the one block at night. The wifi was $12 a day, also ridiculous. Many hotels, even McDonalds can afford to offer it free. We didn't use it. Also we looked at the prices at the restaurant at the hotel and decided not to go there as well. In the world capital of good food, paying an arm and a leg for run of the mill hotel food is not an option! Overall, it is a great hotel, and I would recommend it. ...

The hotel staff were great and very welcoming. It is a pretty good walk from Bourbon Street and French Quarter, probably about 15 minute walk. about 5 minute walk to Harrah's Casino. There are a few restaurants and bars directly across the street from the front doors. The only major downfall is you have to valet park and parking is $35-$40 per night.
