Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Zurich Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Helpful staff
Most hotels have Free Wi-Fi. This hotel charges by the minute for Internet. This not acceptable.i will never stay in such a hotel.

It does not rate the five star rating. Need to get free Wi Fi in this time and age. Charging by the minut for a Internet connection is totally unacceptable.

The night we stayed there was the first warm evening of the season, and they could not cool off the room. The staff was very helpful and even moved us to another room, but the only way we could cool off was with a cold shower.

I would think that a 5* hotel close to the airport would have a free shuttle, but the shuttle cost 17 CHF for the 2 of us.

Good size room with true king size bed. Excellent mattress, down pillow and duvet.
No complimentary wifi, no shuttle bus to airport

It is called and airport hotel but does not offer shuttle bus to the airport. One must catch a tram from the airport to go to the station in front of the hotel, a few minutes walk around a car dealer, to get to the hotel front door. Make sure to get a rate including breakfast at the hotel because there is no restaurant within easy walking distance.

The staff was extremely friendly, spoke English and went out of their way to make sure everything was great.
Wish I could have stayed longer

This location is close to the airport. No need to rent a car... grab the tram and head right to the front door of the hotel. The tram takes you pretty much where ever you want to go in Zurich. This is my third time for staying at this location. I've also stayed at the Marriott CourtYard. This location and facility is much nicer and easier to navigate without a car.

Short tram ride from airport, and the general ambiance make this an excellent choice.

Location
This 5 star hotel is in the poorest shape for a category as such. It should be rated as 3 stars. Expensive internet Very old furniture and tv.

Just stay there if you need to be close to airport.

close to airport; beautiful lobby; fairly large rooms
No

The hotel does not provide free shuttles (as other nearby hotels do) to the airport. Using trams 10 or 12 (about a block from the hotel) gets you to the airport in 10 minutes (fare approx. $2.50).If you want to see museums and get free transportation in Zurich, purchasing a Zurich Card does both a 72 hour card is better than a 24 hour card, which is half the price.
