Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn Buffalo Amherst
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.January 5, 2013

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone without a pet, unless they don't mind paying the $75.

We found the hotel lobby and dining area to immaculate. We weren't able to partake, but found the relaxing cheese and wine offering to be pleasant, and the morning breakfast plentiful and tasty. The room we were in was an efficiency apartment style room which was a quite a bit more "room" than we had been expecting. A pleasant surprise. There were two downsides though. The bed was not particularly firm, and the mattress sagged in the middle so that it felt I spent most of my night sliding to the center and clawing my way back to the edge. I didn't sleep well either of the two nights we were there. Also, the tub drain plug was malfunctioning. In order to use the tub we had to dismantle the drain stopper. Despite these minor issues, both of which might not exist in a similar room elsewhere in the complex, I rate the room and hotel very highly and would gladly stay there again. Highly recommended. ...

The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly, competent, enthusiastic and a true pleasure to deal with. The room was so well appointed that the only "needed" things picked up at the local store were food and napkins! Surprise: I didn't expect a fireplace in my room and now I wish I had visited in the winter instead of spring! This is a perfect place to stay if you need to be in town for a week or two. It was also fantastic for a long weekend for 2. Pros: - like staying in an instant apartment (albeit with 80's decor); great staff; great location. Pet-friendly!! Cons: Super-springy/bouncy mattress and very soft pillows (unless you like your bed that way); rather family-friendly, which isn't a con unless you're looking for a more romantic type of getaway. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and will be happy to recommend it to anyone! ...

Clean, Comfortable and conveniently located. Great for large families and just perfect for couples. It's quainter hotel that simulates a new england type of setting. The staff were friendly and very helpful and that includes everyone from the front desk to the clean staff.
