Residence Inn By Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile

The hotel and staff were above par. I enjoyed my stay very much.

As a priceline deal, I thought it was a great bargain. The hotel is located in one of the best, most expensive areas in Chicago. We live in the area, but wanted a night downtown. If I was an out-of-town guest, I think this would be one of the better choices. They provide free breakfast and our room contained an updated, high-quality kitchenette.

The only negative I found with this hotel is the closet-sized elevators. Everything else was quite nice.

Overall it was not bad, but for the money, one should be able to expect clientèle who are upscale and respectable. The staff was helpful with some neighbors who were having a party and they allowed us to change rooms for the second night. The staff were also helpful with recommending local restaurants and hailing taxis if needed. The breakfast was alright but nothing spectacular. It was a good location!! It's close to everything but quiet at the same time (minus noisy neighbors in an old building). We really wished the air did not blow directly on the bed and that there were a door between the sleeping area and vanity (we had a studio). Other than that, the room was very nice. Great hotel, awesome location, and great staff.

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The room size and modern decorations met our expectations. The breakfast good as well.

Overall, it was a great stay. The location was convenient to the Red Line and to many of the sites we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast and the manager happy hours that were hosted during the week. We made great use of the in room kitchen as well.
